  • Masyn Winn SS | STL

Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Goes deep in series finale

Winn went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Cubs.

Winn opened up the scoring with a two-run blast off Justin Steele in the third, but the Cardinals would be shut out the rest of the way from there. Wynn now has four homers over his last 10 games and is up to nine total for the season. Seven of his nine homers this season have come against left-handed pitching. The 22-year-old is slashing .279/.325/.414 with 31 extra-base hits, 41 RBI, 50 runs, nine steals and a 29:75 BB:K in 426 plate appearances.

  • Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Posts second steal

Schneemann went 1-for-2 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 9-5 loss to the Orioles.

After sitting out the first two games of this four-game set versus the Orioles, Schneemann started the last two and went 3-for-6 with a double and a steal. The utility man was at shortstop for the first time in four games -- Brayan Rocchio has been clawing back some playing time at that position in what remains an open competition that could also include Tyler Freeman. Schneemann is slashing .227/.304/.429 with four home runs, two steals, 16 RBI and 12 runs scored over 135 plate appearances, but he's hitting just .200 (6-for-30) since the All-Star break.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Another three-hit day

Henderson went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and two additional runs scored during Sunday's 9-5 win over Cleveland.

Henderson has logged three hits in back-to-back games and tagged Gavin Williams for a two-run homer in the fifth inning Sunday. The long ball was the shortstop's 29th of 2024, a career-high mark. At 23 years old, Henderson has already emerged as one of the AL's top hitters and is slashing .293/.379/.567 in 506 plate appearances.

  • Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Hammers 11th homer

Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Reds.

Fitzgerald has 10 homers over his last 16 games, including two long balls over three contests in August. He continues to run with the opportunity to be a near-everyday option at shortstop, and it's tough to see him coming out of the lineup often as long as he keeps mashing. For the year, the 26-year-old has a .309/.369/.632 slash line with 11 homers, 23 RBI, 28 runs scored, seven stolen bases, seven doubles and two triples over 50 contests.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Nabs steal in loss

Lindor went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Angels.

Lindor is 8-for-29 (.276) with three steals and no extra-base hits over his last seven games. The shortstop continues to provide well-rounded performances atop the Mets' lineup, and he's up to 23 thefts on the campaign, putting his career high of 31 from last year within striking distance. Lindor has added a .256/.331/.462 slash line, 22 home runs, 64 RBI, 73 runs scored and 27 doubles over 111 contests.

  • Zachary Neto SS | LAA

Angels' Zach Neto: Reaches 20-steal mark

Neto went 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mets.

Neto didn't have an extra-base hit over 12 games from July 21 to Aug. 2, but he's now hit a homer and a triple in his last two games. The shortstop's steal Sunday was his 20th of the year, and nine of them have come since the start of July. For the season, he's managed a .256/.320/.439 slash line with 14 home runs, 51 RBI, 49 runs scored, 23 doubles and one triple over 109 contests.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Adds another homer

Seager went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-2 loss to the Red Sox.

Seager has three homers over his last three contests, going 5-for-12 in that span. The shortstop's blast opened the scoring in the first inning Sunday. Seager is up to 22 long balls, 54 RBI, 55 runs scored, one stolen base, 14 doubles and a .277/.359/.491 slash line through 99 games this season, though he's batting a more impressive .391 (18-for-46) over his last 11 contests.

  • David Hamilton SS | MIL

Red Sox's David Hamilton: Two thefts in Sunday's win

Hamilton went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, two stolen bases and two total runs scored in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Rangers.

Hamilton sat out the first two games versus the Rangers after going 0-for-12 with five strikeouts over three contests versus the Mariners earlier in the week. The reset seemed to help, as the infielder put together his first multi-hit effort since July 14. His recent slump has taken some of the wind out of his sails -- he's at a .253/.307/.395 slash line with five home runs, 28 steals, 19 RBI, 38 runs scored, 13 doubles and a triple through 251 plate appearances. Hamilton will need to find more consistency at the plate to avoid ceding more work to Nick Sogard or Romy Gonzalez.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Set to play in sim game this week

Manager Dave Roberts said that Rojas (forearm) is scheduled to play in a simulated game Thursday at Dodger Stadium, MLB.com reports.

On the shelf since July 24 with right forearm tightness, Rojas has already started ramping up his swinging and is set to face live pitching during the upcoming week. Roberts said that Rojas won't require a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated from the 10-day injured list, leaving the door open for the 35-year-old to rejoin the big club as soon as this weekend. Whenever Rojas is reinstated, he'll likely displace Nick Ahmed as the team's primary shortstop.

  • Eddys Leonard SS | MIL

Tigers' Eddys Leonard: Back in action at Triple-A

Leonard (hamstring) has gone 1-for-7 over two games since being reinstated from Triple-A Toledo's 7-day injured list Friday.

Leonard returned to action for Toledo earlier this weekend for the first time since straining his right hamstring June 25 while running the bases, per Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. The 23-year-old infielder has now had two extended absences this season, as he was also sidelined from April 8 through May 20 with a left oblique strain.
