Seager went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 7-1 loss to Kansas City.

Seager delivered the Rangers' lone run with a single in the third inning. He's been mired in a slump and entered Friday's game batting .073 (3-for-41) with two RBI over the previous 11 games. Rangers general manager Chris Young took the long view when speaking with Kenndi Landry of MLB.com, indicating the club expected Seager to need some time to get going after undergoing hernia surgery in January. Young also feels there has been some bad luck, which speaks to the shortstop's .269 BABIP.

Winn went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 3-0 win over the White Sox.

Winn reached on an error in the fourth inning, stole second and went to third on a wild pitch, but then got stranded. The rookie shortstop has cooled off with no multi-hit efforts over his last 14 games, going 7-for-40 (.175) with three steals and a 9:12 BB:K in that span. On the year, he's slashing .279/.354/.372 with no home runs, seven RBI, 10 runs scored and five steals, offering solid speed but little else while batting in the bottom third of the Cardinals' order.

Cruz went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Rockies.

The 25-year-old shortstop had gone 17 straight games without a homer coming into Friday and nearly made it 18. but he got hold of a Jalen Beeks changeup in the ninth inning to make things close for the Pirates. It was Cruz's fourth long ball of the season and his first off a southpaw, and the RBI were his first since April 22. While the performance was encouraging, he still sports a disappointing .240/.287/.364 slash line through 33 contests with three steals, nine runs and 10 RBI.

Turner was removed from Friday's game against the Giants due to left hamstring soreness, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Turner stole second base and then scored from second on a passed ball during the fourth inning, but he was replaced on defense by Edmundo Sosa before the fifth frame. It remains unknown how severe Turner's injury is, but the Phillies should offer an update on his status in the near future.

Gonzalez (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

After a slower-than-expected recovery from a left wrist sprain, Gonzalez will now begin the final step of his rehab process. The Red Sox haven't specified exactly how long they plan on keeping the 27-year-old infielder in the minors, but he shouldn't require too long of an assignment if everything goes smoothly.

The Athletics optioned Allen to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

Allen will return to the minors after slashing .171/.227/.243 across 77 plate appearances to begin the season. The 25-year-old infielder may return to Oakland if he's able to replicate his .939 Triple-A OPS from last year, but his reputation as an offensive liability in the majors could make the team hesitant to call him back up.

Grissom (hamstring/illness) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and is starting at second base Friday against the Twins.

The 23-year-old has recovered from a bout of the flu that delayed his Red Sox debut by a few days. Grissom has a career .287/.339/.407 slash line in 64 big-league games and should see plenty of playing time at the keystone for Boston.

Rocchio went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Thursday's 8-2 loss to the Astros.

Rocchio is up to five steals on the year, four of which have come over his last six games. In that span, he's hitting .294 (5-for-17) with a 5:6 BB:K and four runs scored. Rocchio is up to a .218/.317/.310 slash line with no home runs, four RBI, 14 runs scored and seven doubles through 102 plate appearances. He continues to hold down the starting job at shortstop while hitting at the bottom of the order.

McLain (shoulder) is about a week away from a follow-up appointment that will give the Reds a better idea on his return timetable, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

If all goes well with his exam, McLain could start working out at the Reds' spring training facility in Arizona. He doesn't have an official return date yet. "It's still way too early to determine a time when he would get back to us, but the goal would still be early August ideally," said manager David Bell.

Lindor (illness) went 2-for-3 with a pair of two-run doubles and a run scored in Thursday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Cubs.

Lindor was held out of the lineup Thursday after departing Wednesday's contest with an illness. However, he'd come off the bench as a pinch hitter for Joey Wendle in the sixth inning, pulling a two-run double to cut the Mets' deficit to 5-4. Lindor would then deliver his biggest hit so far this season in the 11th, doubling down the left-field line to drive in two more and give New York a 7-6 walk-off victory. Lindor's struggles early this year have been well documented, though he's starting to show signs of turning things around at the plate -- the 30-year-old shortstop's gone 9-for-29 with three doubles and three home runs in his last eight contests. Lindor's now slashing .207/.287/.380 through 136 plate appearances with five home runs, 17 runs scored, 15 RBI and four stolen bases.
