  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Twins' Carlos Correa: To 10-day IL

Correa (plantar fasciitis) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Correa has dealt with lingering plantar fasciitis for much of the season, but he aggravated the issue Monday and went for an MRI on Tuesday. He will be eligible to return Sept. 29 in Coors Field. Kyle Farmer should assume a prominent role and Trevor Larnach was recalled from Triple-A to allow Willi Castro to spend more time in the infield with Royce Lewis (hamstring) also ailing.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Ends power drought

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and an additional run scored in Tuesday's win over the Yankees.

Bichette extended the Jays' lead to 4-1 in the fifth inning with a two-run blast off Clarke Schmidt, his 19th homer of the year and his first since Aug. 20. The 25-year-old Bichette had been slumping coming into Tuesday's contest, going 10-for-60 (.167) with a .420 OPS in his previous 15 games. Overall, he's still slashing an impressive .304/.336/.474 with 67 RBI and 59 runs scored through 550 plate appearances this season.

  • Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Delivers walk-off homer

Bogaerts went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over the Rockies.

The game was scoreless heading into the bottom of the ninth; however, Bogaerts stepped up and launched a two-out, two-run home run to plate Trent Grisham and win the ballgame. Bogaerts has collected multiple hits in five consecutive contests, a span in which he's 11-for-23 (.478) with six runs scored and three RBI while striking out at a 12 percent clip.

  • Zachary Neto SS | LAA

Angels' Zach Neto: Homers in homecoming

Neto went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-2 loss against the Rays.

Neto, a Miami native, launched a game-tying solo shot in the eighth inning of his return to the Sunshine State. However, the excitement was short-lived, as Tampa Bay answered with a four-run eighth inning to put the game out of reach. After missing more than five weeks with a back injury, the 22-year-old shortstop has gone just 2-for-27 (.074) with eight strikeouts and four walks in seven contests. Neto owns a season-long slash line of .223/.301/.386 with nine home runs, 31 RBI, 33 runs and five steals across 74 games in his rookie campaign.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Ends skid

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Giants.

Perdomo's second-inning double must have felt good. It was the shortstop's first hit since Sept. 7, a span of 25 at-bats without one. He's on the strong side of a platoon with rookie Jordan Lawlar, both of whom are struggling during September. Perdomo is batting .119 (5-for-42) and Lawlar is at .150 (3-for-20) for the month.

    Diamondbacks' Tommy Troy: Undergoes surgery

Troy underwent surgery for a fractured foot last week, Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic reports.
