Orioles' Vance Honeycutt: Exits early Sunday
Honeycutt left Sunday's contest with High-A Frederick early with left thumb discomfort, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Honeycutt finished his day having gone 0-for-1 with a walk and a strikeout, and he is now batting .188 with four home runs, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 67 at-bats in 18 games at High-A this year. It's unclear what exactly the outfielder's injury is, but he can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Brooks Lee SS | MIN
Twins' Brooks Lee: Supplies Minnesota's lone runs
Lee went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run during the Twins' 4-2 loss to the Rays on Sunday.
The Twins were blanked through the first six innings of Sunday's game, but Lee got his team on the board by cracking a two-run homer off Jesse Scholtens in the seventh frame. It was Lee's second homer of the three-game series and his fifth of the 2026 season. Since April 1, he has slashed .269/.337/.487 with one steal, 15 RBI and 11 runs scored over 86 plate appearances.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Not starting Sunday
Perdomo (ankle) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.
It's not a major surprise the 26-year-old is on the bench Sunday after he suffered a left ankle sprain during Saturday's contest. However, it may be a brief absence given that manager Torey Lovullo said he doesn't expect Perdomo to require a trip to the injured list, per Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic. Jose Fernandez is filling in at shortstop Sunday while Tim Tawa replaces Perdomo in the lineup.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Giants' Willy Adames: Receiving first day off
Adames is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
It's the first day off this season for Adames, who has gone 1-for-27 with 13 strikeouts over the past six contests. Christian Koss will step in at shortstop while Jung Hoo Lee moves up to the leadoff spot.

Oneil Cruz CF | PIT
Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Receiving Sunday off
Cruz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
It's the first day off for Cruz since the second contest of the season, and it comes after he went 0-for-10 with five strikeouts and an RBI across the first two games of the series in Milwaukee. Billy Cook is picking up a start in center field Sunday.

Casey Schmitt LF | SF
Giants' Casey Schmitt: Cracks homer in victory
Schmitt went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a double and a walk in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Marlins.
Schmitt doubled in the second inning but was tagged out after slipping as he rounded second base. However, the 27-year-old made up for the mistake with a two-run homer in the sixth, marking his third long ball on the campaign. Schmitt is slashing .295/.341/.513 with 10 RBI, eight runs scored and one stolen base across 85 plate appearances in 21 outings this season.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Red Sox's Trevor Story: Out of lineup Sunday
Story isn't in Boston's starting lineup Sunday against Baltimore, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
Story has struggled to a .532 OPS and a 31.1 percent strikeout rate through 119 plate appearances this season, but he's kept an everyday role in the lineup. Boston shook up its coaching staff following Saturday's win, and Story voiced his displeasure with that decision, per Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com. It's not clear if that has anything to do with his absence from the lineup Sunday. Andruw Monasterio is drawing a start at shortstop in Story's stead.

Leonardo Jimenez 3B | MIA
Marlins' Leo Jimenez: Joins lineup Saturday
Jimenez (hand) started at designated hitter and went 0-for-2 with a walk in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Giants.
Jimenez was lifted from Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Cardinals shortly after being hit on the left hand by a pitch in the second inning, but X-rays came back negative. The 25-year-old felt well enough to enter the lineup Saturday against southpaw Robbie Ray. Jimenez is likely to see limited action while the Marlins' infield is mostly healthy.

Angel Martinez LF | CLE
Guardians' Angel Martinez: Bats leadoff
Martinez hit atop the order and went 1-for-4 in Saturday's 5-3 loss to Toronto.
Martinez was originally slated to bat fifth and play left field, but he was moved to center field and batted leadoff when Steven Kwan (neck) was scratched from the lineup. Martinez's stock has risen dramatically early in 2026, as he's slashing .282/.325/.526 with five home runs, 14 RBI, five steals and 12 runs over 25 games.
