Baez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 11-6 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Baez went deep in the ninth inning for just his fourth home run of the season through 58 games played. He had just 17 long balls last year, which was his lowest total in a full season since 2016. Baez may struggle to even get to 17 home runs this year, and so far his time in Detroit has been fairly underwhelming, as his fantasy production has fallen off.

Wendle went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the White Sox.

The infielder provided the Marlins with their only offense when he took Dylan Cease deep in the fifth inning. It's Wendle's first homer of the year, and it extended his modest hit streak to six games -- a stretch in which he's gone 10-for-23 (.435) with four doubles and eight runs scored.

Lindor went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Pirates.

The shortstop seems to have found his power stroke, as six of his 12 homers on the year have come in his last 17 games. Unfortunately, Lindor's luck on balls that stay in the park hasn't been as good. During that stretch, he's slashing just .200/.264/.492 with one steal, nine runs and 11 RBI.

Mateo went 1-for-3 with one RBI and two steals in Friday's victory over the Royals.

Mateo stole second and third base in the second inning of the contest to give him 18 steals on the season, good for fourth in the American League. After a torrid start to the season batting .333 in the month of April, Mateo has cooled down considerably. The 27-year-old hit an atrocious .128 in May with just two extra-base hits, and over his last 30 games has an underwhelming .151/.175/.183 slash line.

Anderson went 2-for-5 with a double and a stolen base Friday against the Marlins.

Anderson has hit well across his last 15 starts by maintaining a .313 average, though he also has only four RBI and seven runs scored in that span to show for it. He chipped in his seventh stolen base of the season Friday, and his first in his last 19 games. Anderson has still yet to homer this season, and he also has only 10 RBI across 44 games.

Neto went 0-for-1 with two walks and a stolen base in Friday's 5-4 win over the Mariners.

Neto logged a steal for the second consecutive game, and he's drawn four walks over his last three contests. For the season, he's posted a modest 6.0 percent walk rate along with a 19.7 percent strikeout rate. The shortstop is still finding his way at the major-league level with a .239/.328/.358 slash line while adding three home runs, five steals, 18 RBI and 18 runs scored through his first 50 games.

Bogaerts went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's 9-6 win over the Rockies.

Bogaerts had been out since June 3 while dealing with a wrist injury, but he was able to play all of Friday's game at shortstop. It's a nagging injury that has bothered him for much of the season, so he may not be clear of it, but it appears the 30-year-old will try to power through. He's posted five multi-hit efforts over his last 16 games, but he's hit just .222 (14-for-63) in that span, lowering his season slash line to .256/.339/.393 through 58 contests.

Schmitt is hitting eighth and playing third base versus the Cubs on Friday.

Schmitt was originally out of the lineup for the series opener against the Cubs, but he's hitting eighth and playing third base after J.D. Davis was scratched from the lineup due to right hip tightness.

Schmitt isn't starting Friday against the Cubs, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Schmitt is just 1-for-14 with two RBI across his last four games, so he'll get a day off Friday to regroup. Brandon Crawford will take Schmitt's place at shortstop and bat ninth.

Bogaerts (wrist) is starting at shorstop Friday against the Rockies.

Bogaerts' sore left wrist has kept him out of San Diego's last four games, but it seems he's feeling good enough to suit up. The 30-year-old shortstop has been playing through the wrist issue all year and was in a cold spell at the plate prior to his recent absence, slashing .185/.214/.259 across his last 14 games.
