Mets general manager Billy Eppler said Friday that Mauricio has begun "acclimating to left field," Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Mauricio continues to add more defensive versatility to his profile as he pushes toward his MLB debut. He had exclusively played shortstop in the minors before recently switching over to second base at Triple-A Syracuse. The 22-year-old top prospect boasts a .336/.377/.550 slash line with seven homers and nine steals through 53 games this season in the International League and should carry immediate fantasy relevance whenever he gets the call to Queens.

The Guardians recalled Rocchio from Triple-A Columbus on Friday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

The 22-year-old prospect will return to the big leagues while Josh Bell spends a maximum of three days on the paternity list. Rocchio holds an .863 OPS in Triple-A this season through 207 plate appearances, but his minor-league success has yet to translate to the majors.

Franco (shoulder) is back in the lineup Friday against the Red Sox.

Franco missed Wednesday's series finale against the Cubs due to left shoulder discomfort, but the issue has proven to be minor. He will start at shortstop and bat second Friday versus the Red Sox and right-hander Garrett Whitlock. The 22-year-old rising star boasts a .298/.362/.482 slash line with seven home runs and 20 stolen bases through 55 games this season.

Turner is batting fifth for the Phillies in Friday's game against the Nationals, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

It's the first time all season that we've seen Turner hit lower than second. He is entering play Friday sitting on a season-low .648 OPS following a 4-for-29 stretch. How long this new Phillies lineup sticks -- it features Kyle Schwarber in the leadoff spot against right-hander Josiah Gray, who was part of the package going the other way in 2021 when Turner and Max Scherzer were shipped from the Nats to the Dodgers -- remains to be seen, but the move may not be great news for Turner's immediate fantasy value.

Adames (concussion) resumed baseball activities Friday with High-A Wisconsin, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Adames won't join the Brewers during their current series in Cincinnati. Instead, he will be re-evaluated after the weekend and could potentially return to the lineup for a series opener against Baltimore on Tuesday. The slugging shortstop has been on the 7-day injured list since Saturday.

Allen is absent from the lineup for Friday's game in Miami.

Allen has been the preferred option at shortstop for the Athletics since the beginning of May, but he'll sit this one out. Aledmys Diaz will get the start at short.

Wendle isn't starting Friday against the Athletics, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Shintaro Fujinami will open the game for Oakland, but southpaw Hogan Harris will serve as their primary pitcher Friday which will force Wendle to the bench. Jon Berti will take over as Miami's shortstop and bat seventh.

Barrero is not in the starting lineup Friday versus the Brewers.

Barrero will take a seat after he went 2-for-8 with a homer, four RBI and two runs scored over a three-game series with the Red Sox. Stuart Fairchild will slide over to center field while Will Benson enters the lineup in left field and bats eighth in the series opener with Milwaukee.

The Pirates acquired Williams from the Rays on Friday in exchange for Robert Stephenson, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports.

The 24-year-old has slashed .237/.314/.417 with five homers and three steals for Double-A Montgomery this season and has just a .714 OPS at the level for his career. Williams was the 37th overall pick in 2020, but scouting reports that suggested he would be a glove-first shortstop have so far proven accurate.

Bichette went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's win over the Brewers.

The shortstop drove a Freddy Peralta fastball over the wall in center field in the first inning to open the scoring on the afternoon. Bichette has three long balls in the last six games, part of a month-long hot streak that has seen him slash .347/.382/.556 since the beginning of May with six of his 12 homers on the season.
