Witt went 4-for-5 with a double, two home runs, three runs, five RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 12-10 loss to the Royals.

The 22-year-old very nearly willed Kansas City to a win, taking Patrick Corbin deep in the sixth inning and going yard off Erasmo Ramirez in the seventh, but the Royals' bullpen poured more gas on the fire than Witt could put out. He's enjoying a strong finish to May, slashing .300/.321/.540 over the last 12 games with three homers, three steals, 10 runs and 10 RBI.

Bogaerts will sit Saturday against the Yankees while managing wrist soreness, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

It's unclear exactly when the wrist issue began for Bogaerts, but it's possible it explains his recent downturn at the plate. He's slashed .195/.290/.268 in May after hitting .308/.400/.514 through the end of April. The fact that Bogaerts has played through the issue to this point seemingly gives him a good chance at avoiding the injured list, but the Padres have yet to say whether they expect him to miss a handful of games or just one. Ha-Seong Kim (knee) will start at shortstop Saturday.

The Rangers will continue to evaluate Duran (rib) over the weekend, Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Texas manager Bruce Bochy said he'll make a call "one way or another" Saturday or Sunday, which likely means a decision about Duran going on the injured list. Duran missed the last two games, clearing a path for Josh Smith to enter the starting lineup.

Anderson went 4-for-5 with one RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 12-3 victory over Detroit.

Anderson notched his second four-hit outing of the season and extended his hitting steak to four games. However, the veteran is still hitting just .264 across 34 games to start the year, well below the baseline over .300 he established each of the past four years. Even worse, Anderson hasn't hit a home run this season and has a lower SLG (.300) than OBP (.304).

Seager went 1-for-4 with a grand slam home run in Friday's 12-2 win over the Orioles.

Seager launched his home run as part of the Rangers' eight-run fourth inning. It was his third home run in eight games since being activated off the injured list. The shortstop has hit safely in six of those eight games, going 10-for-31 (.323) with six extra-base hits, 14 RBI and seven runs scored.

Lindor went 2-for-4 with one homer, four RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 5-2 win over Colorado.

Fantasy managers will hope this performance signals the start of a hot streak, as Lindor is currently in the midst of one of his weakest seasons at the plate. The former Guardian's on-base-percentage of .304 is far below his previous low mark of .322, which he set in 2021. The shortstop's .232 batting average is also approaching his career-low mark of .230, which he also set in 2021.

Crawford went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 11-6 loss to the Pirates.

Two of Crawford's three homers this season have come in the last four games, and he has four multi-hit efforts over his last eight contests. The stronger hitting has come out of the leadoff spot. The shortstop is up to a .248/.361/.364 slash line with 22 RBI, 26 runs scored and a stolen base through 49 games.

Marcano went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and a stolen base in Friday's 11-6 win over the Mariners.

For the second time in his last three games, Marcano flexed both power and speed with a homer and a steal. The 23-year-old is batting .261 (12-for-46) in May, right in line with his .266 average for the season. He's added an .809 OPS, three homers, three steals, 10 RBI, 11 runs scored, five doubles and a triple through 91 plate appearances. Marcano should remain in the mix as a strong-side platoon option at shortstop, sharing the position with righty-hitting Chris Owings.

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's victory over the Twins.

Bichette is now on a six-game hit streak, and also ranks fourth in the league with a .329 batting average. The shortstop is currently on pace to pass his career-high mark of 29 homers in a season, which he achieved in 2021.

Adames (head) will be placed on the 7-day injured list with a concussion after leaving Friday's game against the Giants, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

A line drive off the bat of Brian Anderson in the second inning rocketed into the Brewers dugout and struck Adames in the head, and he was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. The positive news is that Adames has no fractures and he's been alert throughout, and while he will remain in the hospital overnight, he's expected to be released Saturday according to manager Craig Counsell. Adames will miss at least a week, but things could have been much worse given the circumstances.
