Arcia is not in the starting lineup for Game 3 of the NLDS versus the Phillies on Friday.

Arcia will take a seat after he went 0-for-5 with two walks and a strikeout while starting the first two games of the NLDS. Vaughn Grissom will draw the start at second base and bat eighth against the Phillies on Friday.

Volpe hit just .229/.312/.361 with two home runs, five steals and an 8:30 BB:K over 22 games in Triple-A to close out the 2022 season.

His results were far better in Double-A, where he hit .251/.348/.472 with 18 homers, 43 swipes (in 49 tries) and a 57:88 BB:K in 110 games. While that average doesn't look great, Volpe got bitten by some bad BABIP luck (just .272, well short of his norm), so that's nothing to worry about. Volpe is one of the game's top shortstop prospects and the Yankees currently have no one blocking him other than non-stars Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Oswald Peraza, so unless they pick someone up in the offseason, he should have a good chance to make his MLB debut next year. How soon that happens will depend on how quickly he adjusts in his second Triple-A go-round.

De La Cruz finished the 2022 season with a .304/.359/.586 line, 28 home runs, 47 steals (on 53 attempts) and a 40:158 BB:K over 120 games between High-A and Double-A.

His average and OBP at the two levels were nearly identical, with only a marginal drop in slugging after the promotion. There's no doubt that De La Cruz can crush homers and run wild on the bases -- but his defense and plate discipline are question marks. While his hands and rocket arm generally get positive reviews, De La Cruz piled up 25 errors while mostly playing shortstop (and some third base) this season, suggesting that he still has a lot of work to do before he's ready to play the infield in the big leagues. His 30.8 percent strikeout rate won't cut it at higher levels (especially alongside a meager 7.8 percent walk rate), and while De La Cruz showed signs of improvement on that front at various points in the season, he ended up regressing to his mean every time. It all adds up to an exciting prospect who needs at least one more full year of seasoning in the minors before he's ready to step on the field in Cincinnati.

Pena (knee) will bat second and play shortstop in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Mariners on Tuesday.

Pena missed the final game of the regular season after fouling the ball off his knee, but there was never a suggestion that he was dealing with a serious injury. The Astros' extra time off during the wild-card round allowed him the time to heal.

Lopez did not make the Blue Jays' 26-man wild-card roster, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Lopez is not on the postseason roster after he went 5-for-8 with three RBI in Wednesday's doubleheader against the Orioles. His absence from the wild-card roster is not surprising considering he only appeared in eight games with the Blue Jays this season.

Amaya was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed on the 60-day injured list Thursday with an unspecified injury.

The 24-year-old was added to the 40-man roster in November and split the 2022 campaign between Double-A Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Amaya had a .749 OPS in 84 games at Triple-A, and it's unclear how much the injury will affect his offseason program.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run Wednesday in a 6-1 victory versus Colorado.

Turner reached the 100 RBI mark for the first time in his career with a three-run homer in the fifth inning. The speedy shortstop was one of nine major-leaguers to go 20/20 this season, finishing with 21 long balls and 27 thefts. He slashed .298/.343/.466 and ranked second in the league in hits (194) behind teammate Freddie Freeman.

Tovar went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Tovar's first major-league long ball was a memorable one, as it came off future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw. The 405-foot solo shot accounted for Colorado's only run of the game and was one of the team's two hits. Tovar slashed just .212/.257/.333 over nine contests in his first major-league cup of tea, but he batted .319 with 14 homers and 17 stolen bases in the minors this season and figures to be a big part of the Rockies' future plans.

Castillo went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Cardinals.

Castillo notched an RBI double in the bottom of the fourth inning before coming around to score on a Ji Hwan Bae groundout. He later added another double in next at-bat in the sixth frame. The two-hit performance was his first since July and he finished the four-game series with the Cardinals having gone 4-for-12 with three doubles, an RBI and two runs scored. Castillo will finish the 2022 season with a .206 average, 11 homers, 29 RBI, 28 runs and a stolen base over 262 at-bats in 96 contests with the Pirates.

Edman went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, two runs and two stolen bases in Wednesday's loss to the Pirates.

Edman ripped an RBI single off Johan Oviedo in the first inning before stealing second base and coming around to score before the end of the frame. He later added two more hits, including a double, while scoring another run. The multi-hit effort was Edman's first since Sept. 17 while the stolen base was his 32nd of the year. The 27-year-old will look to repeat Wednesday's performance when the Cardinals face the Phillies on Friday in Game 1 of the Wild Card Series.
