Severino didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the White Sox, allowing five runs on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts across 5.1 innings.

Severino;'s blow-up inning was the second, as he allowed a leadoff homer to Colson Montgomery before Andrew Benintendi capped the five-run frame with a three-run shot. Otherwise, Severino was effective Saturday, and the Athletics were able to erase the 5-0 deficit to get Severino off the hook. The right-hander's first three starts of the season came on the road, where he allowed eight runs over 13.1 innings. In two home starts against the Rangers and White Sox, the right-hander hasn't been much better with nine runs surrendered across 11.1 innings. He's in line to face the Rangers on the road in his next start.

Henderson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during the Orioles' 4-2 loss to the Guardians on Saturday.

Henderson cut the Orioles' deficit to 3-2 in the eighth inning, when he smashed a solo home run to right field off Hunter Gaddis. Henderson struck out in two of his other plate appearances and is up to 29 strikeouts over 99 plate appearances this season, which is tied for seventh most in the American League. He is slashing .213/.283/.506 with four steals (on five attempts), seven home runs and 15 RBI.

Taveras went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run during Baltimore's 4-2 loss to Cleveland on Saturday.

Taveras put the Orioles on the board with a solo homer off Gavin Williams in the fourth inning. It was Taveras' first home run of the 2026 season and extended his hitting streak to seven games. Over that seven-game span, he has gone 8-for-20 (.400) with one steal, five RBI and five runs scored.

Kremer (0-1) took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks while striking out seven across six innings.

It was a mostly strong outing from Kremer, who generated 14 whiffs and tossed 58 strikes on 95 pitches. His lone, yet consequential, blemish came in the fifth inning, when he yielded a three-run homer to Brayan Rocchio, and the Orioles' batters were unable to generate enough offense for Kremer to avoid the loss. The right-hander has looked good in his two starts since being recalled from Triple-A Norfolk last Monday. His next start is tentatively slated for next weekend at home against the rival Red Sox.

Naylor went 1-for-3 with a solo homer during Cleveland's 4-2 win over Baltimore on Saturday.

Naylor extended the Guardians' lead to two runs when he blasted a solo homer to right field for his first long ball of the season. He has struggled at the plate to open the year, with the 26-year-old catcher slashing .156/.224/.244 with three RBI and a 4:10 BB:K over 49 plate appearances.

Rocchio went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run during the Guardians' 4-2 win over the Orioles on Saturday.

Rocchio gave the Guardians a two-run lead in the fifth when he took Dean Kremer deep right field for a three-run long shot. It was the third home run of the season for Rocchio and extended his hitting streak to five games. In that five-game span, he has gone 6-for-16 (.375) with five RBI and four runs scored.

Smith picked up the save in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Orioles, striking out all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Smith made easy work of the Orioles' batters in the ninth inning, getting each one to strike out swinging while generating six whiffs and 15 pitches (11 strikes). The right-hander has converted on five of seven save opportunities this season and has a 4.09 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 14:3 K:BB across 11 innings. His five saves are tied for sixth most in the American League.

Crawford said that he expects to have an update on the extent of his right forearm injury Sunday once his doctor finishes reviewing his MRI results, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Crawford underwent the MRI late earlier in the week after experiencing soreness in his forearm following his first rehab start at Triple-A Worcester last Saturday. He's still awaiting his doctor's assessment, but the Red Sox should soon have an update regarding Crawford's next steps. Crawford missed the entire 2025 season, initially due to patellar tendon soreness before he developed a wrist problem that he treated with surgery in July.

Williams (3-1) earned the win against the Orioles on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out 11 across seven innings.

Williams set the tone early by striking out four of the first five batters he faced. He limited the Orioles to just four baserunners, with his lone blemish coming in the fourth inning on a Leody Taveras solo homer. Williams finished strong, however, retiring the last 11 batters he faced. The right-hander generated a whopping 18 whiffs while tossing 73 strikes on 100 pitches, and it was the second time this season he posted 10-plus strikeouts. Williams has a 2.12 ERA and 1.01 WHIP over 29.2 innings, and his 40 punchouts lead the majors. He's lined up to face the Blue Jays in Toronto next weekend.

Diaz is expected to have his contract selected by the Royals on Sunday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Diaz signed with Kansas City in late February and has spent the start of the regular season with Triple-A Omaha. He is hitting only .226 with one double across 34 plate appearances, but he'll still make his way back to the majors. Diaz's immediate role is unclear, and his promotion is not yet official.
