Munoz picked up the save in Monday's 3-1 victory over the Astros. He allowed a hit and no walks while striking out one over a scoreless inning.

Munoz needed 14 pitches (11 strikes) to close out the Astros, with a two-out single from Jose Altuve representing the lone baserunner in a clean ninth inning. Widely regarded as one of the best closers in baseball, the hard-throwing right-hander's numbers haven't been particularly pretty early in 2026, though a five-run implosion against the Padres on April 15 has played a major role in inflating his season statistics. Through 16 innings (17 appearances), Munoz owns a 5.63 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with a 3-3 record, 26:7 K:BB and eight saves.

Lambert (2-3) took the loss Monday, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings against the Mariners. He struck out six.

Lambert provided valuable length but didn't receive enough offensive support to avoid taking the loss. The right-hander allowed all three of his runs in the second and third innings before settling in to log his second consecutive seven-inning outing. The early returns on the 29-year-old in Houston's rotation have been quite positive, as he owns a 2.76 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with a 29:12 K:BB across 29.1 innings (five starts). Lambert will look to get back in the win column in his next start, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against Texas.

Kirby (5-2) earned the win Monday, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks over five innings in a 3-1 win over Houston. He struck out seven.

Kirby allowed some traffic but largely kept the Houston offense in check, generating 12 whiffs and tallying a season-high seven strikeouts en route to the victory. Monday marked the right-hander's shortest outing of the campaign, as he's a workhorse that consistently works into the sixth inning and beyond. Kirby has been a pillar of consistency, posting a 2.84 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with a 46:14 K:BB across 57 innings (nine starts). He'll look to stay in the win column in his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against San Diego.

Johnson (back) was activated from the 7-day injured list May 5.

Johnson made his Triple-A Durham debut Thursday after putting a lower-back strain behind him, and while he didn't work deep into the outing, he had his swing-and-miss stuff working. He allowed three hits and walked one while striking out five over 3.1 scoreless frames.

Junis (0-1) took the loss Monday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks over 2.2 innings against Arizona. He struck out two.

With Nathan Eovaldi (side) scratched, Junis was called upon to start the bullpen game. The right-hander allowed back-to-back one-out doubles to Corbin Carroll and Geraldo Perdomo in the first inning, leading to the lone run in a low-scoring loss. Monday marked just the second appearance this season in which Junis allowed a run, snapping a streak of seven consecutive scoreless outings. Overall, the 33-year-old owns a 1.89 ERA and 0.79 WHIP with a 9:5 K:BB across 19 innings and figures to return to a high-leverage role moving forward, though he hasn't been called upon for a save since April 12 with Jacob Latz seizing the closer role.

Corniell (arm) gave up two hits and walked three while striking out four across 3.1 scoreless innings during Friday's game against Triple-A Durham.

Corniell was cleared to make his 2026 debut after missing time with arm trouble. He looked a bit rusty in his first appearance of the season, but he managed to navigate around traffic on the bases for a decent first outing. Corniell will set his sights on staying healthy after also missing action over the last two seasons while recovering from UCL surgery.

Eovaldi (side) is being considered day-to-day, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

This is seemingly positive news for the right-hander, who was scratched from his scheduled start Monday against Arizona after experiencing left side tightness. The Rangers have yet to share any official imaging results, but the fact that he's been labeled as day-to-day is an indication that he's managed to avoid a serious injury. It's not clear at this time when he will take the mound next.

Simpson was removed from Monday's game against the Blue Jays due to an apparent leg cramp, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. He went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two stolen bases prior to exiting.

Simpson grounded out to second base in the top of the eighth inning and was replaced in the bottom of the frame by Jonny DeLuca. This doesn't appear to be a serious injury for Simpson, who was unlikely to start Tuesday against a southpaw, but it'll be worth keeping a close eye on his availability over the next day or so.

Manager Craig Albernaz stated after Monday's win over the Yankees that Basallo (knee) is fine, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Basallo was a late scratch from Monday's lineup due to left knee discomfort. However, it seems he's managed to avoid a significant injury. Assuming all goes according to plan, Basallo should be back in the starting lineup within the next day or so.

The Orioles selected Walker's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Walker has operated out of Norfolk's bullpen this season, where he has a 4.40 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, one save and a 16:5 K:BB across 14.1 innings. His next outing out of the Orioles' bullpen will mark his first major-league game since May 4, 2025 as a member of the Blue Jays. To make room on the roster for Walker, Trey Gibson was optioned to Triple-A and Heston Kjerstad (hamstring) was transferred to the 60-day IL.
