The Orioles recalled Young from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday to start in Friday's game versus the Red Sox, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Young's promotion comes in a corresponding move to Dean Kremer (quad) being placed on the 15-day injured list. Young threw five scoreless frames in his spot start with the Orioles in early April, and he'll now get another look in the big leagues after beginning the season at Norfolk with a 1.08 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and 19:3 K:BB.

Duran isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates.

Duran is expected to receive the bulk of starts in left field while Wyatt Langford (forearm) is on the shelf, but the Rangers will keep Duran on the bench Thursday and start Alejandro Osuna in left.

Leiter is dealing with right ankle soreness as a result of a fall during Wednesday's start versus the Pirates, but he expects to be ready for his next scheduled outing Monday against the Yankees, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Leiter tripped over a weighted bat in the on-deck circle and fell to the ground in the fifth inning. He stayed in to finish the frame and has managed to avoid a serious injury. It seems at this time Leiter is not in danger of missing his next start, but the Rangers will likely wait until this weekend before officially clearing him to take the ball versus the Yankees.

Baumler (intercostal) has been sent to Triple-A Round Rock to begin a rehab assignment.

Baumler has been shelved since early April with a right intercostal strain. The Rule 5 pick seems likely to make multiple rehab appearances before rejoining the Rangers' bullpen around the beginning of May.

The Rangers designated MacIver for assignment Thursday.

MacIver has spent the entire season at Triple-A Round Rock, slashing .170/.333/.255 with a home run, six RBI and six runs scored through 60 plate appearances. He'll end up as the roster casualty to make room on the 40-man roster for Peyton Gray, whose contract was selected from Round Rock on Thursday.

The Rangers placed Garcia on the 15-day injured list Thursday with left shoulder inflammation.

Garcia hasn't pitched in a week due to the injury, and the Rangers finally decided to put him on the IL. The reliever will be eligible to return May 5, though it's unclear whether the Rangers expect him to be ready by that time. Jakob Junis has been serving as the Rangers' primary closer this season, and that should continue while Garcia is sidelined.

Teel did not begin a rehab assignment earlier this week as initially anticipated, as his right hamstring is "still grabbing at him a little bit" when he runs, Connor McKnight of the Chicago Sports Network reports.

Teel had been scheduled to kick off a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, but that's been pushed back. The catcher noted that his hamstring strain -- which he initially suffered in mid-March while playing for Team Italy during the World Baseball Classic -- is "getting better every day," but it just isn't progressing as quickly as hoped. Edgar Quero and Reese McGuire will continue handling catching duties for the White Sox until Teel is ready.

Skubal did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Brewers, allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out five over six innings.

Skubal held Milwaukee to just one run in his first six innings but ran into trouble in the seventh, when he allowed three straight hits without recording an out. It's just the second time this season that Skubal's given up more than one earned run in a start. His ERA sits at 2.72 with a 0.99 WHIP and 38:6 K:BB across six outings (36.1 innings). Skubal tentatively lines up to face Atlanta on the road his next time out.

Wallner is out of the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Mets.

It's just the second time this season that the lefty-swinging Wallner has been out of the lineup versus a righty, but both of those instances have come among the last five games. Wallner is slashing only .190/.281/.329 with a 40.4 percent strikeout rate this season and could be at risk of losing additional playing time if he's unable to snap out of his funk. Austin Martin is playing right field and batting sixth for the Twins on Thursday.

Lewis is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets.

Lewis started the first two games of the series after returning from the injured list, going 1-for-8 with five strikeouts. He will get some rest for the series finale before likely returning to the lineup Friday in Tampa Bay. Tristan Gray will play third base and bat ninth for the Twins on Thursday.
