Lowe went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a double in Friday's 6-2 win against Houston.

Lowe broke a 1-1 tie with his three-run blast in the second inning. It was the veteran outfielder's first home run as a member of the Angels, who acquired him in a trade with Tampa Bay in mid-January. Lowe has shown the ability to hit for power before -- he swatted 20 home runs with an .835 OPS over 501 plate appearances with Tampa Bay in 2023 -- but he was limited by injuries over the subsequent two campaigns. Fantasy managers who roster Lowe are likely banking on a change of scenery being able to help him return to that 2023 form.

Hill struck out two batters in a perfect inning of relief to earn a hold against the Giants on Friday

Hill entered in the seventh inning with a runner on base and New York up 3-0. He kept it that way, fanning two of the three batters he faced and needing just 12 pitches to retire San Francisco in order. Hill's usage was a good indication that he'll be used in high leverage this season. The lefty registered 15 holds during the 2025 regular season, his highest mark since 2021.

Stanton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Friday in a 3-0 win over San Francisco.

Stanton provided the final run of the low-scoring affair with a 414-foot solo shot in the sixth inning. The slugger had a great spring, belting four homers in just 29 plate appearances, and he's gone 4-for-8 with a pair of RBI in his first two contests of the campaign. Stanton hasn't reached the 30-homer mark in a regular season since 2022, but that's largely due to a plethora of injuries that have cost him over 200 games across the past three years.

Hays is not in the White Sox's starting lineup against the Brewers on Saturday.

Hays will be on the bench for the start of Saturday's game while the White Sox start Andrew Benintendi, Tristan Peters and Everson Pereira in the outfield from left to right. Hays went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in Thursday's regular-season opener against Milwaukee.

Vargas is not in the White Sox's starting lineup against the Brewers on Saturday.

Vargas will take a seat after going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts and a walk during Thursday's regular-season opener. Colson Montgomery will shift to third base while Luisangel Acuna starts at shortstop.

Quero is not in the White Sox's starting lineup against the Brewers on Saturday.

Quero drew the start Opening Day on Thursday and went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts. He'll be on the bench for the start of Saturday's game while Reese McGuire starts at catcher and bats eighth.

Pena is not in the Astros' starting lineup against the Angels on Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Pena will take a seat after going 2-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Angels. Carlos Correa will shift over to shortstop while Isaac Paredes gets the start at third base Saturday. Pena appears fully recovered from the fractured fingertip he sustained in early March, but the Astros may continue to monitor his workload in the early going after he missed most of spring training.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Saturday that Yoshida will start in three of the team's next five games, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Yoshida has not been in the Red Sox's starting lineup for the first two games of the season, but Cora indicated that the 32-year-old will get some opportunities before long. Cora relayed that he's comfortable with Yoshida playing in left field, and when the latter does play, his presence will seemingly bump one of Jarren Duran, Ceddanne Rafaela, Wilyer Abreu or Roman Anthony out of the lineup. Yoshida didn't make his 2025 debut until early July while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, and he went on to slash .266/.307/.388 with four home runs and three steals across 205 plate appearances.

Latz is starting for the Rangers against the Phillies on Saturday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Jacob deGrom was initially slated to take the mound Saturday, but the veteran right-hander was scratched due to neck stiffness. Latz was unsuccessful in earning a spot in the Rangers' rotation this spring, but the 29-year-old will open things up in deGrom's absence. Latz started in eight regular-season games for the Rangers in 2025 and posted a 2.72 ERA and 1.08 WHIP across 39.2 innings.

The White Sox outrighted Lee to Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Lee was DFA'd by the White Sox on Wednesday after he failed to make the team's Opening Day roster. He'll remain in the organization after clearing waivers but could see some major-league action this season if the White Sox require depth at catcher. Lee appeared in 26 regular-season games for the White Sox in 2025 and posted a .257/.333/.429 slash line with one home run and three RBI across 40 plate appearances.
