Angels' Joey Lucchesi: DFA'd by Halos
The Angels designated Lucchesi for assignment Sunday.
The left-hander signed with the Angels in late March after being let go by the Giants, but he surrendered two runs across 2.1 frames in his first three appearances of the season. Lucchesi was cut loose to free up a roster spot for George Klassen, who was promoted to start Sunday against Seattle.

Astros' Christian Roa: Back in majors
The Astros recalled Roa from Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday.
The right-hander was optioned to Sugar Land last Monday after making two relief appearances during the first weekend of the regular season, and he'll rejoin the big club with Hunter Brown (shoulder) landing on the injured list. Roa should fill a low-leverage role while up with the big club.

Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Out of lineup for Game 2
Schneemann is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

Guardians' Kyle Manzardo: On bench for nightcap
Manzardo is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA
Angels' Oswald Peraza: Not starting Sunday
Peraza is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Peraza started the previous five games and will take a seat Sunday after going 3-for-16 with a walk, a double and a stolen base during that span. Adam Frazier is starting at the keystone and batting ninth in the series finale versus Seattle.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
Angels' Yoan Moncada: Not in Sunday's lineup
Moncada is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Moncada is on the bench for Sunday's contest after going 1-for-11 with seven strikeouts while starting the previous three games. Jeimer Candelario is manning the hot corner in the series finale versus Seattle.

Jeremy Pena SS | HOU
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Taking seat Sunday
Pena is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Pena played back-to-back games Friday and Saturday for the first time this season -- going 3-for-7 with two walks and three doubles -- so it's not a surprise he's taking a seat for Sunday's series finale in Sacramento. The 28-year-old will continue building up to an everyday workload after missing most of spring training due to a fractured right ring finger. Nick Allen is manning shortstop and batting ninth Sunday.
-
Brendan Donovan 2B | SEA
Mariners' Brendan Donovan: Not starting Sunday
Donovan (groin) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
The 28-year-old departed Friday's contest due to a groin issue and will be held out of the lineup Sunday for a second straight game. Donovan had medical imaging come back clean, so he could rejoin the starting nine within the next couple days. Leo Rivas is receiving another start at third base Sunday for Seattle.

George Klassen SP | LAA
Angels' George Klassen: Called up for MLB debut
The Angels selected Klassen's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake to start Sunday's game against the Mariners, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
The 24-year-old missed out on the Halos' Opening Day rotation despite a strong showing during spring training, but he'll now make his MLB debut Sunday after Ryan Johnson (illness) was a late scratch. Klassen gave up one run with five strikeouts over 4.2 frames during his lone start for Salt Lake this year and struggled at the Double-A level in 2025 with a 5.35 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 126:46 K:BB across 102.2 innings.
