Latz did not factor in the decision during Sunday's extra-inning loss to the Mets. He yielded one run on two hits and four walks while striking out four over 4.2 innings.

Latz worked through four scoreless frames before the Mets finally broke the 0-0 tie in the fifth inning. He hasn't completed six innings in an outing since June 24 as he's bounced around between the rotation, the bullpen and Triple-A Round Rock in recent months. Since moving back into the rotation, Latz has allowed five runs over 20 innings (2.25 ERA) in four appearances. His season ERA is down to 2.85 with a 70:36 K:BB through 79 innings. Latz's role moving forward is unclear, as Tyler Mahle (shoulder) is set to rejoin the Rangers' rotation this week.

The Royals will reinstate Wacha (concussion) from the 7-day injured list to start Tuesday's home game against the Mariners, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.

Kansas City will restore two of its top starters to the rotation during the upcoming series with Seattle, as Cole Ragans (shoulder) is in line to return from the 60-day injured list Wednesday. After being placed on the 7-day IL last Tuesday, Wacha will wind up just a little over the minimum amount of time due to the concussion, which he sustained in what the team described as an "off-field accident," per MLB.com. Wacha was cleared to resume throwing shortly after being deactivated and shouldn't be operating with any restrictions Tuesday.

Vest allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning while earning a save over the Marlins on Sunday. He struck out one.

Vest had runners on first and second with one out but escaped the jam to close out the 2-0 win. It was his 21st save of the year and first since Aug. 29. He's now delivered 6.1 consecutive scoreless frames, dropping his season ERA from 2.81 to 2.53 in the process. Vest has produced a 67:22 K:BB through 64 innings.

Motero (5-3) allowed three hits over five scoreless innings Sunday, striking out five and earning a win over the Marlins.

Montero gave up three singles and did not allow a runner to reach scoring position. He fell short of a quality start but tossed 50 strikes on 76 total pitches; it was his highest pitch count since July 25, which was his last MLB appearance before spending just over a month with Triple-A Toledo. Montero now owns a 4.32 ERA with a 63:27 K:BB through 83.1 MLB innings this season. He's lined up for a home start against Atlanta next weekend.

Astros general manager Dana Brown said that Paredes (hamstring) could be activated from the 60-day injured list during next weekend's series versus the Mariners, though Brown conceded that Paredes' return by that time "could be a long shot," Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Paredes has been on the shelf since July 20 due to a significant right hamstring strain, but because he's elected to forgo surgery, he still has a chance at making it back on the field before the end of the regular season. The 26-year-old has been steadily ramping up at the Astros' facility in Florida in recent weeks, taking part in hitting, running and defensive progressions and most notably facing hitters in live batting practice Saturday. Under normal circumstances, Paredes would likely require an extended rehab assignment prior to being activated, but with the Astros in tight battles in both the AL West and wild-card race, he could bypass a minor-league stint and instead get built up through live at-bats prior to his reinstatement. Brown noted that because Paredes is further behind with his running and defensive work than his hitting at this stage of his rehab program, Paredes would be used as a designated hitter upon his return from the IL.

Suarez did not factor in the decision during Sunday's loss to Toronto. He allowed one run on two hits and a walk while striking out five in three innings.

Suarez threw three innings during a scheduled bullpen game and delivered a solid performance. His five strikeouts matched his season total through 8.2 innings entering Sunday's game. He tossed two scoreless frames before giving up an RBI double to George Springer in the third inning. Suarez owns a 2.31 ERA and a 13:2 K:BB through 11.2 innings. He'll likely continue working in a bulk bullpen role down the stretch.

Lewis went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run scored in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

The former first-overall pick reached double figures in steals for the first time in his four-year career, as he notched his ninth and 10th stolen bases of the season. Lewis nabbed second off Arizona starter Nabil Crismatt in the second before returning in the eighth to swipe second against reliever Anthony DeSclafani. Through 356 total plate appearances, Lewis now sports a .237/.289/.395 slash line with 12 homers, 45 RBI and 35 runs scored.

Bieber (3-1) allowed a run on four hits and a walk over six innings Sunday, striking out five and earning a win against Baltimore.

Bieber coughed up a solo homer to Coby Mayo in the second inning but otherwise did not face much trouble. It was Bieber's first quality start since his season debut Aug. 22. He had given up eight runs over 11.2 frames (6.17 ERA) over his last two starts before Sunday's win. Bieber forced a season-high 18 whiffs on 97 total pitches. He now owns a 3.72 ERA with a 30:4 K:BB through 29 innings. Bieber's next start is projected to be in Kansas City next weekend.

Ober (5-8) took the loss Sunday against Arizona, conceding four runs on four hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out nine.

Despite notching his eighth start without a free pass issued, Ober was saddled with the loss in this 101-pitch appearance. The Minnesota right-hander once again yielded a homer, his 30th given up of the season, when James McCann slugged a three-run long ball in the fourth inning, ruining Ober's opportunity for a quality start. The 30-year-old now sports a 5.12 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 114:28 K:BB across 135.1 total frames. He currently lines up to make his next start at home against Cleveland next weekend.

Clement went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win against the Orioles.

Clement knocked a two-run double in the fourth inning and later added an RBI single in the seventh. It was his second straight game with multiple hits and the third such performance in his last five appearances. Clement improved his season slash line to .279/.314/.400 with 41 extra-base hits over 542 plate appearances.
