The White Sox reinstated Benintendi from the bereavement/family medical emergency list Friday.

Benintendi missed the minimum three days on the bereavement list. This season, the 31-year-old is slashing .244/.306/.419 with 13 homers and 65 RBI over 393 plate appearances. The White Sox open a three-game set against the Twins with right-hander Dean Kremer toeing the slab Friday, so Benintendi figures to jump right back into the lineup.

Way (back/shoulder) was pulled off his rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha and will be re-evaluated Friday in Kansas City, per MLB.com.

Way made two rehab appearances, one with Double-A Northwest Arkansas and another with Triple-A Omaha, without experiencing any issues related to the low-back spasms and tightness that landed him on the injured list. However, mild right shoulder discomfort has now paused his progress. The 27-year-old has made 19 appearances with the Royals this season, posting a 3.86 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 21:10 K:BB across 23.1 innings, but any kind of significant setback in his recovery could prevent him from pitching in the majors again in 2026.

Chisholm went 1-for-2 with a walk and two stolen bases in a loss to Houston on Thursday.

Chisholm's speed was on display throughout the contest -- his one hit was an infield single, and he swiped second base following that knock and after a fifth-inning walk. The veteran infielder has stolen at least one base in three consecutive contests and has recorded seven thefts across his past 10 games. That's pushed Chisholm up to 38 stolen bases on the season, two shy of his career-high mark and second overall in the majors this year.

Springer went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Thursday's loss to the Royals.

The veteran slugger accounted for all of Toronto's offense in a 13-2 rout when he took Noah Cameron deep in the sixth inning. It was Springer's 13th long ball of the season but his first in August, snapping a 25-game drought in which he'd produced a .260/.318/.325 slash line with three doubles, a triple, eight RBI and 10 runs.

Witt went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in Thursday's 13-2 win over the Blue Jays.

The star shortstop did his part offensively in the blowout win, matching Jac Caglianone for the team lead by coming around to score three times. Witt has reached base in 11 straight games, producing a .349/.462/.605 slash line with three homers, seven RBI, 13 runs and four stolen bases during that span. In total, he's slashing .289/.366/.459 with 16 homers, 49 RBI, 75 runs and 36 stolen bases across 116 contests.

Pasquantino went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and a walk in Thursday's 13-2 win over Toronto.

Pasquantino got in on the offensive onslaught, crushing a two-run homer in the sixth inning before adding an RBI single in the eighth frame. Thursday marked the 28-year-old's first three-RBI effort of the season, and he's raked to the tune of a .342/.432/.684 slash line with three homers, eight RBI, seven runs and a stolen base in 10 games since returning from right wrist soreness. Overall, Pasquantino is slashing .245/.332/.384 with nine homers, 41 RBI, 41 runs and five stolen bases over 89 contests.

Jensen went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and three walks in Thursday's 13-2 win over the Blue Jays.

From the leadoff spot, Jensen opened the scoring with a 421-foot blast off Spencer Arrighetti in the first inning. The young catcher has hit just .167 across 22 August games, though he's been better of late, going 9-for-32 (.281) with two homers over his past 10 contests. On the year, Jensen is slashing .224/.310/.410 with 18 homers, 59 RBI, 60 runs and two stolen bases across 125 tilts.

The Red Sox signed Nido to a minor-league contract Thursday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Nido spent the first four months of this season at Triple-A Toledo in the Tigers organization before being released in late July. The 32-year-old has a career .560 OPS over parts of nine big-league seasons and will give the Red Sox some experienced catching depth at Triple-A Worcester.

The Rangers optioned Ahlstrom to Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday.

Ahlstrom loses his spot in the bullpen after being knocked around for 10 runs over his last 5.1 innings covering six appearances. It's unclear what the corresponding roster move will be, but the Rangers will announce one before Friday's game in Milwaukee.

Blubaugh earned a hold in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Yankees, allowing one hit while striking out three over two scoreless innings.

Blubaugh continues to impress since shifting to Houston's bullpen. The right-hander has held opponents scoreless in 11 of his last 13 appearances, posting a 0.93 ERA and 0.78 WHIP across 19.1 innings in that span. Blubaugh's ERA is down to 3.17 through 82.1 innings this season with a 1.17 WHIP and 84:34 K:BB. He's totaled seven holds and one save.
