Larnach is not starting against Detroit on Saturday.

Larnach had been in the starting nine for five of Minnesota's previous six contests, going just 3-for-19 with a home run and one RBI during that span. Prior to that stretch, he was out of the lineup for three games due to left side soreness, but there's no indication that his absence Saturday is related to the issue or any injury. With Larnach on the bench, Luke Keaschall is getting a day off his feet as the Twins' DH.

India is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup versus the White Sox.

India started each of KC's previous three games, going 3-for-10 with a home run and two RBI, but he'll begin on the bench Saturday. In his stead, Adam Frazier is starting at second base while Randal Grichuk is getting a turn at DH.

The Twins recalled Outman from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday.

Outman will step onto the active roster after Alan Roden (thumb) was placed on the 10-day injured list. Outman figures to compete with Austin Martin for playing time in left field while Roden is sidelined. Outman has spent all of August at Triple-A after being traded from the Dodgers to the Twins, slashing .235/.316/.490 in 57 plate appearances. Outman was reported to be adjusting his swing while with St. Paul after he went 4-for-39 (.103) in big-league action with the Dodgers this season.

The Twins placed Roden on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a sprained left thumb.

Roden was scratched from Friday's lineup due to the sprained thumb, and the injury will require a stint on the injured list. James Outman was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. Expect Outman and Austin Martin to see time in left field while Roden is sidelined.

The Royals optioned Avila to Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

The 23-year-old's first MLB stint will come to an end after five days, as he cedes his spot on the active roster to Michael Lorenzen (oblique), who's coming off the injured list to start Saturday's game. Avila made his MLB debut Wednesday, throwing a scoreless inning against Washington.

Weaver earned a hold against the Cardinals on Friday, allowing one hit and striking out two batters over 1.1 scoreless innings.

Weaver entered in a tight situation in the seventh frame, inheriting runners on second and third base with two outs. The right-hander uncorked a wild pitch to allow one run to cross the plate but then struck out Lars Nootbaar to escape further damage. Weaver returned for the eighth and allowed a runner to reach base on a single and his own error, yet he was able to get out of the inning on another punchout. After struggling a bit in July, Weaver has bounced back with a strong August, tossing 7.2 scoreless frames and posting a 10:1 K:BB across seven appearances. He remains one of the team's top setup options even after the trade-deadline acquisitions of Camilo Doval and David Bednar.

The Royals activated Lorenzen (oblique) from the 15-day injured list to start Saturday's game against the White Sox.

As expected, Lorenzen will make his return from a strained left oblique Saturday to face the White Sox. Lorenzen should handle a full workload after throwing 85 pitches in his most recent rehab start. The 33-year-old posted a 4.61 ERA in 99.2 innings before sustaining the injury, and he yielded seven runs in 8.2 innings for Double-A Northwest Arkansas during his rehab assignment. Luinder Avila was optioned to Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move.

Caballero went 2-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases in Friday's 4-3 win against the Cardinals.

Caballero got a rare start Friday, batting ninth and playing right field while the red-hot Giancarlo Stanton got the day off. It was just the third time Caballero has started a contest since he joined the Yankees via a trade with Tampa Bay on July 31. The speedy utility man certainly took advantage of the opportunity by reaching three times Friday and swiping two bases, moving him back alone atop the MLB leaderboard with 37 thefts on the campaign. Despite that impressive total, Caballero has just a .643 OPS on the season, and it's difficult to see him getting more playing time in New York unless an injury or two creates an opening.

Naylor (illness) is batting fourth and playing first base Saturday against the Mets.

The Mariners scratched Naylor from Friday's lineup due to illness, but he's feeling well enough to start Saturday's contest. He'll reclaim his typical spot at first base and bat cleanup. Naylor is riding a five-game hit streak, going 7-for-19 (.368) during that stretch.

Semien woke up with a swollen wrist Saturday morning after being hit by a pitch in Friday's 6-5 loss to Toronto, and he'll undergo X-rays, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Semien is out of the lineup Saturday and it's now known his absence is due to a wrist injury stemming from a HBP that occurred in the second inning of Friday's contest. Although Semien finished the game, he's now dealing with swelling and will undergo further testing. Should he miss time, Josh Smith and Ezequiel Duran would be in line for starts at second base.
