Slaten (shoulder) is scheduled to throw bullpen sessions Monday and Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

The second of those bullpen sessions is expected to include an up-and-down. Following that, Slaten should be ready to face hitters, which would be the final step before going on a rehab assignment.

Narvaez (knee) is expected to return to the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Astros, MLB.com reports.

Narvaez, who last appeared in a game Aug. 5, continues to nurse a sore knee but is expected to avoid a stint on the injured list. Connor Wong has started the past three games at catcher and will likely be behind the plate for Sunday's game in San Diego, but Narvaez should be ready to take over as Boston's No. 1 catcher in the Houston series.

Montero tossed 1.2 scoreless innings of relief in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Angels. He allowed a hit and struck out one.

After allowing two earned runs in an inning during his team debut Tuesday, Montero was better in his second outing since coming over at the trade deadline. The righty is still carrying a 5.49 ERA overall, making him hard to trust in any fantasy format given his middle relief role. Montero should continue to see medium-leverage work for the Tigers.

Seager went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Phillies.

Seager bopped his 17th homer of the season in the eighth inning and has multiple hits in three consecutive games. He's had a quiet bat the last two weeks, though, posting just two extra-base hits (both homers) with three RBI over the last 14 contests.

Gasper will start at catcher and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Royals.

Despite going 0-for-10 at the dish while starting each of the past three games at either first base or designated hitter, Gasper will stick in the lineup Sunday, this time filling in behind the plate while Ryan Jeffers serves as the Twins' DH. Gasper is likely to fade back into a reserve role once Matt Wallner (personal) returns from the paternity list in the next day or two.

Texas manager Bruce Bochy said Friday that he was "really encouraged" by the progress Carter (back) has made, MLB.com reports.

Carter responded well to an injection for his back spasms and is nearing activation. The outfielder last played Aug. 1 and may need a rehab assignment before coming back to the Rangers.

Lewis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Lewis will get a well-deserved breather after he had started in each of the last 18 games. Ryan Fitzgerald will fill in at third base and bat ninth.

Baez went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Angels. He also stole a base.

Baez had a third of Detroit's hits as a team, recording his first three-hit performance since June 17. He's been hot in August with a .333/.333/.583 slash line over seven games. The veteran has had a bounce-back campaign with a .727 OPS, 11 home runs and five stolen bases across 96 games. Last year, Baez posted just a .515 OPS in 80 regular-season games before eventually getting shut down due to a hip injury.

Larnach (side) will start in right field and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Royals.

Larnach didn't start in any of the last three games while he managed a side injury, but he felt well enough to make a pinch-hit appearance in Saturday's 2-0 loss. He'll step back into the lineup and take over in right field while Matt Wallner (personal) remains on the paternity list.

Manzardo went 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI in Saturday's 3-1 win over the White Sox.

Manzardo wouldn't let Steven Kwan's leadoff double in the first inning go to waste, as he gave the Guardians an early lead with a two-out, RBI single. He's hit safely in 13 of 17 games (16 starts) in the second half, slashing .358/.453/.585 with three home runs and 13 RBI during that stretch. The lefty batter, who remains limited to mainly facing right-handed pitching, has been more effective of late than he was in the first half of the season, when Manzardo logged a .217/.293/.442 slash line.
