Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 3-2 win over the Rays.

With the Mariners down 2-0 in the eighth inning, Raleigh got hold of a Griffin Jax sweeper and launched it to right-center field for the game-winning homer. It was Raleigh's 43rd long ball of the year, as he marches closer to toppling Salvador Perez's MLB record of 48 homers in a season set in 2021. Raleigh's overall offensive output has slipped since the All-Star break, however, and over his last 20 games he is slashing .198/.253/.383 with 11 RBI.

Brash struck out the side in a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his second save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Rays.

Andres Munoz had worked Wednesday and Thursday, so Brash got the call for the save opportunity and mowed down Tampa Bay's 2-3-4 hitters on 19 pitches (10 strikes). Brash missed the first month-plus of the season while completing his recovery from a hybrid Tommy John surgery/internal brace procedure on his elbow performed in May 2024, but since getting back on the mound he's been almost untouchable, posting a 1.20 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 34:12 K:BB over 30 innings. Munoz's numbers are also elite as the team's closer, but Brash's presence gives the M's perhaps the best high-leverage duo in the league.

Castillo didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 3-2 win over the Rays, giving up two runs on five hits over seven innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

All the damage off the veteran righty came on solo shots by Brandon Lowe in the first inning and Junior Caminero in the sixth, but all of Seattle's offense came on a three-run blast by Cal Raleigh in the eighth. Castillo delivered his 14th quality start of the year on 99 pitches (72 strikes), and he's allowed three earned runs or fewer in eight straight trips to the mound, posting a 2.25 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 45:7 K:BB through 48 innings over that span. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend against the Mets.

Caminero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Mariners.

His sixth-inning shot off Luis Castillo gave the Rays a 2-0 lead, but the bullpen couldn't close things out. Caminero has been swinging a loud bat since the All-Star break, slashing .273/.310/.597 over his last 20 games with eight of his 31 homers on the season, and 17 of his 77 RBI.

Rasmussen came away with a no-decision in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Mariners, scattering four hits over six scoreless innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

The right-hander put up nothing but goose eggs for the second straight trip to the mound, firing 55 of 79 pitches for strikes in his fifth quality start of the year, but Rasmussen saw his 10th win slip away when Griffin Jax melted down in the eighth inning. Rasmussen has worked at least five innings in three straight outings and thrown more than 70 pitches in four straight as the Rays ease his workload restrictions while trying to stay in the AL wild-card picture, and since the All-Star break he sports a 1.77 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 20:3 K:BB over 20.1 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week against the A's.

Mead went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Friday against the Guardians.

Mead joined the big-league roster Sunday but didn't enter the starting lineup until Wednesday. Friday marked his third consecutive start, and he's collected at least one hit in each of those contests. Mead delivered a two-RBI single in the sixth inning of Friday's game.

Baldwin went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Friday against the Guardians.

Baldwin has started six straight games at third base and has gone 8-for-20 with two home runs, two RBI and three runs scored in that span. Both of those home runs have come in his last two games, with Friday's coming off of Tanner Bibee in the third inning.

Jax (1-6) allowed three earned runs on three hits while striking out one across one inning to take the loss Friday against the Mariners.

This marked Jax's fourth appearance since he was dealt to the Rays, and the second in which he's allowed at least one earned run. He entered the game in the eighth inning with a two-run lead but allowed a pair of singles before serving up a three-run home run to Cal Raleigh. Jax now has an inflated 4.93 ERA on the season, but his 76:15 K:BB in 49.1 innings is indicative of how dominant he's been for long stretches of the campaign.

Garcia (elbow) struck out seven and allowed three earned runs and no walks over four scoreless innings Thursday in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Sugar Land.

Garcia made the sixth appearance of his rehab assignment and was able to reach the fourth inning for the first time across his four minor-league stops. In what was his finest appearance yet, Garcia built up to 59 pitches. Garcia will likely need to push his pitch count up to the 75-to-85 range before the Astros consider inserting him into the big-league rotation, but he may be just one or two rehab starts away from being activated from the 60-day injured list.

Correa went 2-for-3 with two walks and an RBI on Friday against the Yankees.

Correa has hit very well since the All-Star break, going 21-for-63 with one home run, five RBI and nine runs scored across 17 contests. Friday's performance extended his hitting streak to six games, which includes four multi-hit performances. Correa has primarily hit cleanup since joining the Astros, so he should be able to record strong counting stats in the final two months of the regular season.
