Correa went 2-for-3 with two walks and an RBI on Friday against the Yankees.

Correa has hit very well since the All-Star break, going 21-for-63 with one home run, five RBI and nine runs scored across 17 contests. Friday's performance extended his hitting streak to six games, which includes four multi-hit performances. Correa has primarily hit cleanup since joining the Astros, so he should be able to record strong counting stats in the final two months of the regular season.

Varsho went 3-for-4 in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Varsho has swung a hot bat during the Blue Jays' road trip, going 8-for-14 with three home runs and 10 RBI over his last three games. While most of his recent damage was done against the Rockies, it's encouraging to see the outfielder find some momentum at the plate. He's batting .241 with 11 home runs, 30 RBI, 17 runs scored and one stolen base through 121 plate appearances this season.

Scherzer (2-2) allowed two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings to take the loss versus the Dodgers on Friday.

Scherzer put in a decent effort, but Clayton Kershaw was just a little better for the Dodgers. Scherzer's 98 pitches were a season high, and he threw 63 strikes to earn his third straight quality start, though he's taken both of his losses on the year during that span. He's now at a 4.21 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 49:11 K:BB through 47 innings across nine starts this season. The 41-year-old's next outing is projected to be another tough one, as he's lined up for a home start versus the Cubs next week.

Hader (6-2) allowed one unearned run on one walk and one hit across two innings to earn the win Friday against the Yankees.

Hader entered the game with the score tied at 2-2 in the ninth inning. He pitched a clean opening frame and then managed to protect a three-run lead in the 10th inning, despite giving up a run-scoring single to the second batter he faced. Hader has now gone eight appearances without allowing an earned run, picking up three saves and a win in that span.

Trammell went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run Friday against the Yankees.

Trammell has become Houston's primary center fielder, starting six of the last seven games at the position. He's struggled at the plate in that span, collecting only one hit across 11 at-bats entering Friday's contest. However, Trammell delivered the key blow in the win against the Yankees, smacking a two-run home run in the 10th inning. It was his third long ball of the season and second since the All-Star break.

Kelly (9-7) took the loss Friday against the Phillies, allowing four runs on five hits and five walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Kelly's second start since joining the Rangers didn't go nearly as well as his first, as he surrendered at least four runs Friday for the first time since June 15 against the Padres. It was also just the second time this year that the veteran right-hander was unable to toss at least five innings, and the five walks established a season high. Kelly will be looking to get back on track when he brings a 3.38 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 131:43 K:BB across 138.2 innings into his next scheduled outing, which is projected to be at home against his former Diamondbacks team.

Hendricks took a no-decision Friday against the Tigers, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out six.

The six strikeouts were Hendricks' most since his June 17 start against the Yankees, and he was able to throw at least five innings for the 15th time in his last 17 outings. The soft-throwing veteran right-hander also managed to produce a respectable 10 whiffs on the evening, and Friday also marked his first appearance without issuing a walk since July 4 in Toronto. Hendricks still has an uninspiring 4.63 ERA and 78:28 K:BB across 116.2 innings, and he doesn't shape up as a particularly appealing fantasy streamer at home versus the first-place Dodgers next week.

Skubal took a no-decision Friday against the Angels, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

The four runs allowed were Skubal's most since his July 11 start against Seattle, and it was just the fifth time this season that he yielded at least four runs. The All-Star southpaw has now fanned at least six all but one of his last 18 outings, though Friday was his shortest appearance of the year. Skubal is set to draw a soft matchup his next time out against the last-place White Sox in Chicago.

Wallner went 2-for-5 with a double and a solo home run in Friday's 9-4 win over the Royals.

Wallner put the Twins on the board with a 434-foot blast off a Seth Lugo sinker in the first inning, marking his 16th homer of the year and his fifth in the last 11 games. The 27-year-old has been consistent at the plate during that stretch, going 11-for-36 (.306) with seven RBI and nine runs scored. Wallner will look to continue this power surge as Minnesota rolls through the second half of the season.

Lugo (8-6) took the loss Friday against the Twins, allowing seven runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out one over four innings.

Lugo was tagged for a season-high seven runs, and for the second straight outing in which he failed to complete five innings. The 35-year-old struggled from the start, allowing a trio of runs in the first inning, including a Matt Wallner solo homer. The right-hander needed 82 pitches to record just 12 outs, continuing a rough stretch in which he's posted a 6.49 ERA and allowed six home runs over his last five starts. Lugo will look to regroup in his next scheduled outing against the Nationals.
