Rojas isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Seattle.

Rojas will get a breather after beginning the month 2-for-12 with a home run and two walks through four games. Brooks Baldwin will start at the hot corner instead and bat ninth.

Meidroth (thumb) isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Meidroth will miss a fifth consecutive start after getting hit on his right thumb by a pitch last Wednesday, though the White Sox still don't seem to plan on putting him on the injured list. Lenyn Sosa will cover second base while Meidroth takes another day to recover.

McKinstry went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-4 loss to the Twins.

McKinstry popped his first home run of August and 10th of the season in the third inning. It's a career high for the veteran utility man, who had nine long balls for the Tigers back in 2023. McKinstry's numbers this year don't jump off the page, but as a player known primarily for his defensive versatility and not for his bat, his .269 batting average and .804 OPS across 103 games have been a pleasant surprise.

Torkelson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-4 loss to the Twins.

Torkelson extended his hitting streak to four games, with three of those going down as multi-hit efforts. The slugger also popped his first home run since July 25, giving him 24 long balls for the season. Riley Greene still leads the Tigers with 26 home runs, but he's been scuffling after the All-Star break, so a power surge could allow Torkelson to pass his teammate in the near future.

Greene, who went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Wednesday's loss to the Twins, is now batting just .171 in 17 games since the All-Star break.

Outside of a three-hit game with a home run on July 29, Greene has only nine hits and one long ball in the second half of the season, and he's struck out 28 times. The All-Star starter was excellent before the break, and he still leads the team with 26 home runs and 84 RBI, but he is scuffling at the moment. The Tigers have a day off Thursday, which could help Greene reset before a weekend series against the Angels.

Carpenter went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 9-4 loss to the Twins.

Carpenter now has three home runs through just six games this month and 20 for the season, which matches his career high from 2023. Since his return from the injured list on July 27, the slugging outfielder has been red hot with a .407 batting average and eight extra-base hits across nine contests. Carpenter remains vulnerable against left-handed pitching, but he's otherwise been a fantasy force in 2025, particularly lately.

Narvaez is absent from Wednesday's lineup versus the Royals due to knee soreness, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Narvaez looked gimpy while running out a grounder in Tuesday's 6-2 win, although he wasn't forced out of the contest. He was still sporting a limp prior to Wednesday's game, but the hope is he will be ready to play Friday in San Diego, per Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald. Connor Wong will be behind the dish for the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Triple-A Omaha reinstated Avila (shoulder) from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Avila appears ready to slot back into the Omaha rotation for the first time since late May after missing more than two months while recovering from a right shoulder impingement. The 23-year-old made three rehab appearances for High-A Quad Cities prior to being activated, covering six innings and striking out 10 while allowing two earned runs on four hits and three walks.

The Royals announced Friday that Ragans (shoulder) remains on track with his throwing progression and has increased his throwing distance off flat ground to 120 feet, MLB.com reports.

Though Ragans seems to be making incremental progress in his recovery from a left rotator cuff strain, he still has yet to resume throwing bullpen sessions since landing on the injured list June 11. Assuming Kansas City is still planning on having Ragans get stretched back out as a starter during his rehab program, he's unlikely to be ready to slot back into the big-league rotation until late August in a best-case scenario.

Caglianone resumed taking live at-bats last Thursday and has been throwing, but the Royals haven't cleared him for running as he works his way back from a left hamstring strain, MLB.com reports.

Caglianone hasn't experienced any setbacks in his recovery from the left hamstring strain that landed him on the injured list July 27, but until he's able to run the bases and change direction without an issue, his return to the Royals shouldn't be viewed as imminent. With Kansas City having acquired outfielders Randal Grichuk and Mike Yastrzemski since Caglianone sustained his injury, the rookie could be a candidate to handle more starts at designated hitter once he's activated from the IL if the Royals are keen are preserving his health.
