The Guardians optioned Kent to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.

Kent served as the 27th man during Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals but did not make an appearance. He will rejoin the bullpen at Columbus.

Garcia (elbow) struck out three and gave up two hits and one walk over 2.1 scoreless innings in a rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday.

Garcia made the fourth appearance of his rehab assignment and his first at the Double-A level. He had originally been scheduled to pitch Sunday but had his start moved up a day and managed to record an additional out relative to his first three outings. Garcia has looked sharp across the entirety of his rehab assignment, throwing a total of 8.1 innings while allowing one earned run and maintaining a 12:1 K:BB. However, he'll likely need to prove he can pitch deeper into games before he is activated from the 60-day injured list.

Hill is slated to start Monday's game against Atlanta at Kauffman Stadium.

The 45-year-old lefty will be making his second straight turn through the Kansas City rotation after he fared reasonably well in his Royals debut this past Tuesday, when he limited the Cubs to three runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks over five innings. Though he'll need to continue delivering serviceable outings to stick around with Kansas City, Hill's path to an extended stay in the rotation appears to have gotten clearer after Kris Bubic (shoulder) recently joined Cole Ragans (shoulder) and Michael Lorenzen (oblique) on the injured list.

Festa has reported improvement since landing on the injured list Wednesday after he received two anti-inflammatory injections for his right shoulder, MLB.com reports.

Festa got injections for both the front and back of his shoulder, and the shots appear to have alleviated most of the swelling that the right-hander had been experiencing. He could be ready to start throwing again in the next few days and may have a chance at returning from the 15-day injured list when first eligible Aug. 6, but Festa won't necessarily have a big-league rotation spot waiting for him once he's activated.

Walls went 2-for-3 with a solo home run Sunday against the Reds.

Walls has retaken the starting shortstop role with Ha-Seong Kim (back) on the injured list, starting each of the last seven games. He has been surprisingly productive in that span, recording six RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Walls also went yard Sunday for the fourth time this season, his first home run since July 6.

Lopez (shoulder) has resumed throwing off flat ground out to 100 feet and is expected to increase his distance to 120 feet during the upcoming week, MLB.com reports.

Lopez has been throwing fastballs as well as off-speed pitches during his long-toss sessions, and if his shoulder continues to respond well once he stretches his throwing distance out another 20 feet, he's expected to be cleared for mound work. The right-hander was projected to miss around 8-to-12 weeks when he was placed on the injured list June 11 due to a right teres major strain, and based on where he currently stands in the recovery process, he seems to have a good chance at returning around the short end of that timeline.

The Twins optioned Adams to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

The transaction comes one day after Adams was roughed up for five earned runs over 3.1 innings during an extended relief outing Sunday against the Nationals. The Twins will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Anthony batted leadoff and went 1-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers. He was also hit by a pitch.

Anthony, who batted leadoff for his first time in the majors, opened the game for Boston by getting hit by a pitch and scoring its first run. He later knocked in a run with a triple and scored on Alex Bregman's home run during the Red Sox's three-run, game-winning rally in the fifth inning. The triple was his first since being called up to Boston.

Bregman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers.

Bregman provided the winning knock with his two-run shot in the fifth inning. It was his second homer since being activated off the injured list 11 games ago. Also of note, Bregman made a third consecutive start Sunday. Red Sox manager Alex Cora had managed the third baseman's time since returning, never having Bregman start more than two consecutive games.

Jung went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 8-1 win over Atlanta.

Whether coincidental or not, the Rangers are riding a six-game winning streak that began when the club recalled Jung from Triple-A Round Rock. He's hit safely in all six games, going 8-for-18 with with one home run and four RBI while back up in the majors.
