Brandon Nimmo RF | TEX
Rangers' Brandon Nimmo: Missing another start
Nimmo (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
The Rangers are expecting Nimmo to avoid a stint on the injured list, but the veteran outfielder will be on the bench for a third consecutive game while he nurses an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder. Ezequiel Duran will cover Nimmo's usual spot in right field and will bat third in the series finale in Cleveland.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Rangers' Corey Seager: Missing out on start Wednesday
Seager (back) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
The Rangers will give Seager at least one maintenance day after he experienced back discomfort and was lifted from Tuesday's 4-2 win before his first turn in the batting order came up. Texas will go with Nicky Lopez at shortstop in place of Seager, who is being viewed as day-to-day heading into the team's three-game series with the Tigers, which begins Thursday.

Luis Urias 2B | TOR
Blue Jays' Luis Urias: On base three times in loss
Urias went 2-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Mets.
Getting another start at second base and batting seventh, Urias was the only Blue Jay to have much success against Nolan McLean and the New York bullpen in a 3-0 loss. Urias is making a case for more consistent playing time, and over his first seven games for Toronto he's batting .400 (6-for-15) with a double, a homer and more walks (three) than strikeouts (two).

Alec Gamboa RP | BOS
Red Sox's Alec Gamboa: Moves up to big club
The Red Sox recalled Gamboa from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday.
Gamboa will give Boston a fresh arm capable of covering multiple innings out of the bullpen after the Red Sox needed five relievers to cover the final five frames of Tuesday's 8-1 loss to Washington. Connelly Early was lifted from his start Tuesday after experiencing elbow discomfort and was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

Jovani Moran RP | BOS
Red Sox's Jovani Moran: Makes return from IL
The Red Sox activated Moran (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Moran will rejoin the Boston bullpen after a month-long stint on the shelf while he recovered from left elbow inflammation. He looked sharp over a pair of rehab appearances with Triple-A Worcester last week, racking up four strikeouts across three scoreless frames. Moran should settle back into a middle-relief or setup role with Boston after producing a 3.00 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 38:15 K:BB in 33 innings prior to landing on the IL.

Red Sox's Connelly Early: Moved to IL with inflamed elbow
The Red Sox placed Early on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to left elbow inflammation.
After striking out five and blanking the Nationals through four innings in his start Tuesday, Early was lifted prior to the top of the fifth after experiencing elbow discomfort. The Red Sox are classifying Early's injury as inflammation, but he'll undergo further imaging Wednesday as the club looks to determine if there's anything more significant at play. Early won't be eligible to return until after the All-Star break, but if he avoids a prolonged shutdown from throwing, he could be ready to pitch when the Red Sox open their second-half schedule.

Trey Gibson SP | BAL
Orioles' Trey Gibson: Dispatched to minors
The Orioles optioned Gibson to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.
The move comes one day after Gibson was hammered for eight runs over 2.2 innings in a loss to the White Sox. He will return to Norfolk, where he has logged a 3.55 ERA and 38:19 K:BB over 38 innings covering nine starts this season. Gibson's spot in the Orioles' rotation will be absorbed by Dean Kremer, who is back from the injured list and will start Wednesday's game.

Cameron Weston RP | BAL
Orioles' Cameron Weston: Back with big club
The Orioles recalled Weston from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.
Weston made a scoreless relief appearance in his major-league debut last month and is now back for another opportunity. The 25-year-old has an ugly 7.23 ERA with 24 walks over 37.1 innings with Norfolk but has also struck out 53 during that time.
