Jung (calf) did some running Monday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Jung's recovery from a left calf strain has come along more slowly than expected, but he took a big step forward Monday. The third baseman will continue to ramp up his running progression as long as he doesn't experience any setbacks. Jung has been sidelined for nearly two weeks, and it's uncertain whether he'll need some rehab games before being reinstated.

The White Sox acquired Bart from Atlanta on Monday in exchange for right-hander Duncan Davitt, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Bart's time in Atlanta had an expiration date with Sean Murphy (finger) due back from the injured list this week, and the 29-year-old ended up landing in what appears to be a favorable spot for his playing-time outlook. With Kyle Teel (ankle) likely to be out until at least early September, Bart could immediately emerge as the No. 1 catcher in Chicago, as the White Sox have received little in the way of production from either Drew Romo (.504 OPS in 151 plate appearances) or Edgar Quero (.492 OPS in 193 plate appearances) this season. Bart, meanwhile, has supplied a .226/.303/.377 slash line in 119 plate appearances between stops with Pittsburgh and Atlanta.

The Orioles acquired Forret from the Rays on Monday in exchange for right-hander Tyler Wells, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Forret makes his way back to Baltimore after being drafted by the Orioles back in 2023. The 22-year-old was dealt to Tampa Bay over the offseason along with three other prospects in the trade that sent Shane Baz to Baltimore. At Triple-A Durham this season, Forret posted a 4.89 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 46:18 K:BB through 38.2 innings. The young right-hander will most likely join Triple-A Norfolk in his return to the Orioles organization.

The Rays acquired Wells from the Orioles on Monday in exchange for right-hander Michael Forret, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wells boasts a 2.67 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 53:13 K:BB over 54 innings out of the Baltimore bullpen this season. He should handle a setup role for the Rays, who will have him under club control through the 2027 campaign.

The Royals transferred Seabold (lat) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

Seabold will give up his spot on the 40-man roster to right-hander Nolan Hoffman, whom the Royals acquired in a trade with the Phillies. Since Seabold was initially placed on the IL on July 1, he won't be eligible for activation until Aug. 30. Seabold is currently rehabbing in Arizona while he recovers from the right lat strain, and a potential target date for his return likely won't be known until he heads out on a rehab assignment.

The Royals acquired Hoffman from the Phillies on Monday in exchange for Manuel Colon.

Hoffman had been booted off the Phillies' 40-man roster earlier Monday, but he'll now join a new 40-man roster in Kansas City. The right-handed reliever has logged a 4.72 ERA and 40:18 K:BB over 34.1 innings at the Triple-A level this season and has given up two runs in 4.2 frames in the majors in 2026.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Monday that Schmidt (elbow) is eyeing a return from the 60-day injured list in September, David Lennon of Newsday reports.

Schmidt, who is working his way back from the internal brace surgery he underwent July 11, 2025, resumed facing hitters shortly after the All-Star break and has built up to throwing 45 pitches in live sessions. Per Meredith Marakovits of YES Network, Schmidt will throw his next live BP on Tuesday, and he could head out on an extended rehab assignment soon thereafter. The Yankees will likely have Schmidt get stretched out as a starter while he's out on the farm, but he may represent more of an insurance policy for the rotation. The Yankees will have six high-quality starters once Carlos Rodon (elbow) returns from the injured list later this month, so barring an injury to another member of the rotation, Schmidt could be ticketed for a multi-inning relief role once he's activated.

The Red Sox acquired Rogers, catcher Adley Rutschman (wrist) and cash from the Orioles on Monday in exchange for catcher Carlos Narvaez, right-handers Anthony Eyanson and Kyson Witherspoon, outfielder Enddy Azocar and a player to be named later, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Rogers will be on the move for the second time in less than a week, after he played in just three games for the Orioles after being acquired from the Tigers last Thursday. While with Boston, he'll likely form a timeshare with Connor Wong at catcher in the short term, but Rogers could be in danger of being designated for assignment once Rutschman is ready to come off the injured list. Between his stops with Detroit and Baltimore, Rogers has posted an abysmal .163/.270/.296 batting line over 116 plate appearances, but he's valued mainly for his game-calling ability and defensive savvy more so than anything he does with the bat.

The Rays recalled Grove from Triple-A Durham on Monday.

Grove will give the Rays a fresh arm to round out their bullpen after Craig Kimbrel was designated for assignment and Alex Cook was optioned to Triple-A earlier Monday to create room on the roster for the club's recent trade additions. The right-hander has been up with the Rays on two other occasions this season but made his lone appearance with the big club June 27, when he struck out four over three scoreless innings in a win over the Diamondbacks.

The Blue Jays acquired Arrighetti (foot) from the Astros on Monday in exchange for outfielder Daulton Varsho and cash considerations.

Arrighetti is currently on the shelf while he recovers from right foot nerve irritation, though he threw in the bullpen Sunday and and could be ready for activation by mid-to-late August, per MLB.com. The righty logged a 1.34 ERA in his first eight starts this season but had stumbled with an 8.34 ERA in his last nine outings prior to landing on the injured list. Arrighetti has a career 24.6 percent strikeout rate at the big-league level, though that impressive mark has also come with an 11.5 percent walk rate.
