Murakami went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Monday's 3-1 win over the Twins.

Murakami jumped a first-pitch 97 mph fastball from Zebby Matthews in the first innings and sent it over the wall in right field to snap a seven-game home run drought. It was Murakami's 18th homer of the year and his sixth this month after launching nine long balls in April. Murakami is slashing .235/.374/.540 with the 18 homers, 37 RBI, 37 runs scored and a 41:76 BB:K across 230 trips to the plate this season. The 26-year-old is in the 97th percentile or better in average exit velocity (93.9 mph), barrel rate (20.2 percent), hard-hit rate (57.8 percent) and walk rate (18.1 percent), while he's in just the third percentile in strikeout rate (33.2 percent).

Dominguez earned the save in Monday's 3-1 win over the Twins, allowing one hit and no walks with two strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.

It was Dominguez's first save in 12 days and his 11th of the season. After allowing five runs in a combined two innings of work May 13 and May 17, Dominguez didn't pitch for a week. He's now posted back-to-back scoreless outings after the reset. The right-hander owns a 4.35 ERA and 26:11 K:BB across 20.2 innings this season.

Kay (4-1) earned the win Monday against the Twins, allowing one run on five hits and one walk with five strikeouts across six innings.

Kay's lone blemish was a solo homer allowed to Brooks Lee on just his fourth pitch of the game. After entering May with a 6.12 ERA, Kay has allowed two earned runs or fewer in all five starts this month and has posted his two quality starts of 2026 over his last three outings. The left-hander has shown above average stuff (105 Stuff+), including a very good sinker, slider and changeup trio, and has lowered his season ERA to 3.96 with a 39:23 K:BB across 52.1 innings. His 16 percent strikeout rate is in just the 12th percentile.

Bush (elbow) had a setback in his recovery from Tommy John surgery and is unlikely to return until the second half of the season, MLB.com reports.

Bush underwent surgery in February of 2025, so he should be nearing a return on a typical timeline. The nature of his setback is unclear, but he doesn't seem to be particularly close to a return.

Thorpe (elbow) recently underwent an appendectomy but has resumed throwing, MLB.com reports.

Thorpe had been ramping up in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, but the appendectomy will slow his return. An exact timeline is unclear, but Thorpe has yet to begin a rehab assignment.

Hays (calf) will play in at least two more rehab games with Triple-A Charlotte before he is evaluated for a potential return, MLB.com reports.

Hays has played in seven rehab games and has gone 5-for-24 with two homers and a .208 batting average. The Knights will play Tuesday and Wednesday, meaning the earliest Hays could be activated based on this report would be Thursday. However, it's not a certainty that he will return at that point.

Pereira (pectoral) resumed throwing Monday, MLB.com reports.

It's been almost exactly one month since Pereira landed on the injured list, and he has made some progress. However, it was also noted that Pereira still needs to build up additional arm strength prior to his return, so an exact timeline for his return remains unclear.

The White Sox will recall Sandlin from Triple-A Charlotte ahead of Tuesday's game against the Twins, Elijah Evans of JustBaseball.com reports.

Sandlin's 2026 campaign got off to a delayed start due to a spring elbow injury, but he's been dominant since reporting to Charlotte, posting a 0.75 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with a 17:6 K:BB across 12 innings (four starts). The White Sox have determined that he's ready to show what he can do at the next level, though it's not what role the team envisions Sandlin in his first taste of the big leagues. Chicago has already announced Sean Burke, Davis Martin and Erick Fedde as its starters for the remaining three games of its series with the Twins, so Sandlin could be deployed as a multi-inning reliever initially.

Witt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Yankees.

Witt briefly gave Kansas City the lead in the eighth inning, crushing a 432-foot solo homer off Jake Bird in one of the game's biggest moments. The superstar shortstop was scorching hot during the first two weeks of May, batting .400 with a .886 slugging percentage over a nine-game stretch, though he has cooled off recently by hitting .250 across his last 10 contests. Even with the slowdown, Witt continues to produce at an elite level, slashing .294/.360/.481 with eight homers, 14 doubles, 24 RBI, 26 runs scored and 16 stolen bases across 239 plate appearances.

Bednar earned the save Monday against the Yankees, issuing one walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Bednar entered with a one-run lead and worked around a two-out walk to Lane Thomas to secure his 12th save of the season. The veteran closer has experienced an inconsistent month of May, allowing runs in five of his 10 appearances during that span. Bednar now owns a 4.70 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB across 23 innings this season.
