DaShawn Keirsey RF | MIN
Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Jettisoned from 40-man roster
The Twins designated Keirsey for assignment Friday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for Alex Jackson, who was acquired via trade. Keirsey has managed just a .113/.149/.206 batting line across 102 plate appearances at the major-league level and will now go through the waivers process.

Justin Topa RP | MIN
Twins' Justin Topa: Avoids arbitration with Twins
The Twins and Topa avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Friday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Saint Paul says the deal is worth $1.225 million. Topa had been viewed as a non-tender candidate, but he will stick around and could be a high-leverage reliever again on a Twins team unlikely to make any big offseason bullpen additions. The righty held a 3.90 ERA and 49:18 K:BB over 60 innings in 2025, posting a 46.7 percent groundball rate along the way.

Payton Eeles 2B | MIN
Orioles' Payton Eeles: Traded to Baltimore
The Orioles acquired Eeles from the Twins on Friday in exchange for Alex Jackson, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Eeles slashed .253/.379/.321 with four homers and 21 stolen bases over 86 contests at Triple-A St. Paul in 2025. The 5-foot-5 utility player is capable of handling most positions, giving the Orioles some versatile depth.

Alex Jackson C | MIN
Twins' Alex Jackson: Shipped to Minnesota
The Twins acquired Jackson from the Orioles on Friday in exchange for Payton Eeles, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Jackson was on the non-tender bubble for the Orioles, so instead of cutting him loose, Baltimore was able to get a prospect for him. The 29-year-old catcher is a career .153/.239/.288 hitter over parts of six big-league seasons. Jackson could open next season as the Twins' backup behind Ryan Jeffers.

Alex Lange RP | KC
Royals' Alex Lange: Signing with KC
The Royals are signing Lange to a one-year contract, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Lange spent his first five major-league seasons with Detroit and had his best year in 2023, when he logged 26 saves in 32 chances. However, the right-hander struggled in 2024 and was eventually sent down to the minors before suffering a season-ending lat surgery. The injury lingered into last season, and Lange pitched just one inning for the Tigers while spending most of the time after his recovery in Triple-A. Detroit released Lange on Tuesday, and he'll now get a chance to earn a role in the Royals' bullpen.

James McArthur RP | KC
Royals' James McArthur: Avoids arbitration
McArthur (elbow) signed a one-year, $810,000 contract with the Royals on Thursday, avoiding arbitration.
McArthur will officially remain with the Royals after missing the entire 2025 campaign while recovering from an elbow surgery he underwent last winter and a follow-up procedure he received in July. Once he's fully recovered, he'll likely take on a middle-relief role in the big-league bullpen.

Ben Bowden RP | ATH
Athletics' Ben Bowden: Back with A's on MiLB deal
The Athletics re-signed Bowden (lat) to a minor-league contract Nov. 11.
Bowden elected free agency after being removed from the Athletics' 40-man roster earlier this month, but he was quickly re-signed to a new deal. The southpaw posted a 4.22 ERA and 7:5 K:BB over 10.2 frames with the big club in 2025 before straining his left lat in August. Bowden should be healthy for spring training but will likely begin the 2026 season at Triple-A Las Vegas.

Connor Wong C | BOS
Red Sox's Connor Wong: Avoids arbitration with Red Sox
The Red Sox and Wong (hand) avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Thursday.
Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com says the deal is worth $1.375 million, with an additional $75,000 possible in performance bonuses. It was a disastrous 2025 season for the 29-year-old Wong, as he lost his starting job to Carlos Narvaez and finished with a .500 OPS and zero home runs over 63 regular-season contests. Wong -- who is expected to be recovered from October right hand surgery by spring training -- will be Narvaez's backup at catcher again in 2026.

Raynel Delgado 2B | MIL
Rays' Raynel Delgado: Signs with Rays
Delgado signed a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training with the Rays on Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Delgado spent the entire 2025 season with the Brewers' Triple-A affiliate, slashing .281/.363/.378 with 53 RBI, 58 runs scored and 40 stolen bases across 474 plate appearances. The 25-year-old infielder has yet to make his big-league debut but will get a chance to compete for a roster spot during spring training.

Nick Allen SS | HOU
Astros' Nick Allen: Dealt to Houston
Atlanta traded Allen to the Astros on Wednesday in exchange for Mauricio Dubon.
Allen's strong defensive capabilities at shortstop allowed him to appear in 135 games in 2025, though he finished the year with just a .535 OPS over 416 plate appearances. Now that he's moving to Houston, where Jeremy Pena is locked in at shortstop, Allen is likely to operate in more of a bench role.
