Caglianone went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and three total RBI in a 5-3 win against Texas on Tuesday.

The Rangers were unable to retire Caglianone in the contest, as he reached base in all four of his plate appearances. The 23-year-old's two long balls combined to travel a whopping 852 feet, and the two-homer game was his second as a big leaguer. Caglianone has begun June on a roll, batting .476 (10-for-21) with two homers, seven RBI, a stolen base and a 5:5 BB:K through seven games. With eight homers in 61 contests on the campaign, he's surpassed the seven home runs he slugged across 62 games as a rookie last year.

Eovaldi (5-7) took the loss against Kansas City on Tuesday, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three batters over 5.2 innings.

Eovaldi got through four scoreless frames before serving up a solo homer to Jac Caglianone in the fifth inning. Things got worse for the veteran hurler in the sixth, as he surrendered two doubles and a triple before being pulled with two outs and was ultimately charged with three more runs. Eovaldi didn't have his swing-and-miss stuff working, as he induced just six whiffs and finished with three punchouts, tying a season-low mark. He's now given up at least four earned runs in three straight starts, pushing his ERA up to 4.26 to go along with a 1.18 WHIP and 77:20 K:BB over 80.1 innings spanning 13 starts.

Schanuel was removed from Tuesday's game against the Astros with left calf tightness after getting hit by a pitch.

Schanuel initially remained in the game after taking a pitch off his leg in the first inning, and he went 1-for-1 with an RBI before coming out of the game in the fourth. The severity of his injury remains unknown, but the fact that he was able to play through it for a few innings is a positive sign. He can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Cole did not factor into the decision Tuesday against Cleveland, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four across four innings.

Cole was clean through the first two innings before a messy third frame changed the mood of his outing. The right-hander allowed five consecutive baserunners, leading to both runs he surrendered, and he lasted just one more inning before being lifted at 83 pitches. The lack of strikeouts was notable, as Cole has now recorded fewer than five punchouts in three of his four starts since returning from the injured list. Still, Cole owns a 2.45 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB across 22 innings. The Yankees continue to manage his workload as he builds back up, but he'll look to turn in a more complete outing when he faces the White Sox at home in his next scheduled start.

Lange earned a save against the Rangers on Tuesday, walking one batter and striking out two over one scoreless inning.

Lange was called upon to close things out with Kansas City up by two runs in the ninth inning. The right-hander threw just 10 of 19 pitches for strikes, hurled a wild pitch and walked a batter, but he also struck out the final two batters he faced and got out of the frame without allowing any runs. Lange now has four of the Royals' past five saves and is clearly the team's preferred ninth-inning option. He's earned that role by registering nine consecutive scoreless outings. Since April 22, Lange has a 1.77 ERA and 17:10 K:BB over 20.1 innings spanning 20 appearances.

Kolek allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits and one walk while striking out three batters over five innings in a no-decision against Texas on Tuesday.

Kolek failed to record a 1-2-3 inning, and the Rangers put at least two batters on base in three of his five frames. However, the right-hander escaped with just one earned run on his ledger despite needing 88 pitches to retire 15 hitters. Kolek has now yielded two earned runs or fewer in four of his seven starts, leading to a strong 3.14 ERA. He's lined up to face Houston at home in his next start.

Sanchez went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double during Tuesday's 3-2 win over Philadelphia.

The Blue Jays were kept off the board through the first five innings, but Sanchez changed that with a solo blast off Zack Wheeler in the sixth to tie the game at 1-1. Sanchez tied a season high with three knocks, and Tuesday marked his 12th multi-hit game of the season. Three of those multi-hit games have come over his last five outings, a span in which he has gone 8-for-17 with three extra-base hits and three runs scored.

Valenzuela went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Phillies.

Valenzuela failed to reach base safely in his first three plate appearances, but the rookie catcher came up clutch with an RBI single in the ninth that brought the game-winning run home. Valenzuela has been effective at the plate this season and has gone 7-for-18 (.389) with seven RBI, five extra-base hits and four runs scored over his last six games. Alejandro Kirk (thumb) is on track to return from the 60-day injured list Friday, but the Blue Jays might keep Valenzuela on the 26-man roster rather than send him down to the minors, though Tyler Heineman does not have any options remaining.

Varland (3-1) was credited with the win Tuesday against the Phillies after giving up one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter in the ninth inning.

Varland was brought out for the ninth with the game tied at 1-1, but he gave up just his second run of the season on a two-out RBI double to Bryson Stott. Luckily for Varland, that was the only run he gave up in the inning, and he came away with the win after the Blue Jays scored two runs in the bottom of the frame, capped up off by a walk-off single from Brandon Valenzuela. Varland now sits at a 0.50 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 46:10 K:BB across 35.2 innings this season and has converted all 11 of his save opportunities.

Rutschman has been battling left hamstring tightness over the past few days, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Rutschman has been held out of the Orioles' last two games, and manager Craig Albernaz said after Tuesday's contest that the 28-year-old backstop has been dealing with a hamstring issue. The team is considering him day-to-day for now, so a trip to the injured list doesn't appear imminent, though Sam Huff could receive another start or two behind the plate while Rutschman and Samuel Basallo (wrist) recover from their respective injuries.
