The White Sox traded Wilson and Yoendrys Gomez to Tampa Bay on Tuesday in exchange for Tanner Murray and Everson Pereira (back), Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wilson is a veteran reliever who got into a career-high 59 games with Chicago last season, recording a 3.42 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 51:22 K:BB over 55.1 innings. He notched two saves and nine holds but was also charged with seven blown saves. Wilson should bolster Tampa Bay's relief corps but is unlikely to be a high-leverage option for the team.

The Rangers selected Ortiz's contract from Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.

Ortiz's offensive production took off once he reached Triple-A and the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League in early August, as he slashed .283/.388/.565 with nine homers, 33 RBI and 32 runs scored in just 41 games at Round Rock. The 23-year-old will receive a 40-man roster spot and protection from the Rule 5 Draft following his late-season surge, and his ability to play first base and right field will boost his chances of reaching the majors at some point in 2026.

The White Sox traded Gomez and Steven Wilson to the Rays on Tuesday in exchange for Everson Pereira (back) and Tanner Murray, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Gomez joined the White Sox last May as a waiver claim from the Dodgers, who had previously claimed him from the Yankees. The right-hander ended up appearing in 12 contests (including nine starts) for Chicago, posting a 4.84 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB over 48.1 innings. Gomez mostly worked as a starter during his time in the minors, but Tampa Bay may elect to use him out of the bullpen.

The Rangers selected Davalillo's contract from Double-A Frisco on Tuesday.

Davalillo split the 2025 campaign between High-A Hub City and Double-A Frisco, posting a dominant 2.44 ERA and 0.93 WHIP with 126 strikeouts over 107 innings between the two affiliates. His impressive season will now afford him a spot on the 40-man roster entering 2026, and he's likely to reach Triple-A Round Rock next year if he continues at his current pace.

The Rays selected Murray's contract from Triple-A Durham and traded him and Everson Pereira (back) to the White Sox on Tuesday in exchange for pitchers Yoendrys Gomez and Steven Wilson, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Murray has yet to make his big-league debut after being selected by Tampa Bay in the fourth round of the 2020 First-Year Player Draft. The 26-year-old spent all of last season with Triple-A Durham, posting a .241/.299/.400 slash line with 18 home runs, 58 RBI and five stolen bases over 572 plate appearances. The power was a bit of a surprise -- Murray's previous minor-league season high in homers was seven -- but he may be a late bloomer in that regard. His most useful trait is probably his versatility, as he can play in both the infield and outfield.

Tampa Bay traded Pereira (back) and Tanner Murray to the White Sox on Tuesday in exchange for Steven Wilson and Yoendrys Gomez, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays acquired Pereira in a trade with the Yankees in late July. He ended up playing 23 games with Tampa Bay, struggling to a .138/.219/.246 slash line with two homers, eight RBI, two stolen bases and a 38.4 percent strikeout rate over 73 plate appearances before ending the season on the IL due to back inflammation. Pereira will now get a fresh start in Chicago, though to find big-league success and regular playing time, he'll likely need to make more consistent contact.

The Red Sox traded Hoppe to the Mariners on Tuesday in exchange for minor-league catcher Luke Heyman, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Hoppe spent time with Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester in 2025, logging a 4.55 ERA and 1.52 WHIP over 61.1 innings between the two levels. Now with the Mariners, Hoppe will claim a 40-man roster spot and presumably begin the 2026 season at Triple-A Tacoma, where he will be tested in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. Tayler Saucedo was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Tampa Bay traded Orze to the Twins on Tuesday for minor-league pitcher Jacob Kisting, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Orze looked pretty good in his first extended run in the majors last season, posting a 3.02 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 40:19 K:BB over 41.2 innings across 33 appearances. He also picked up three saves and a hold. However, he spent most of the second half of the campaign in the minors after stumbling with the Rays in late June and early July. Orze has a good chance of earning a role in Minnesota's big-league bullpen for 2026, as the club is overhauling most of its relief corps.

The Yankees selected Rodriguez-Cruz's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

Rodriguez-Cruz reached Triple-A at the very end of the 2025 season after beginning the year at High-A Hudson Valley. He finished the season with a 2.51 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with a 176:57 K:BB through 150.1 innings across three different affiliates. The 22-year-old righty will most likely return to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to begin the 2026 campaign, though he will be a candidate to make his MLB debut at some point next year if he continues to dominate against minor-league hitters.

The Yankees selected Jones' contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

Jones totaled 35 home runs and 29 steals with a .933 OPS between Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and Double-A Somerset last year, though that was accompanied by a 35.3 percent strikeout rate. The 24-year-old is one of the organization's top prospects and could make his MLB debut in 2026, but he may have a difficult time cracking the lineup depending on how the Yankees' offseason unfolds.
