Cecconi took a no-decision Thursday against the Yankees, allowing one run on four hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out four.

Cecconi put together one of his best outings of the year, tossing at least six innings while yielding one or no runs for just the second time this season. It was the first time the 26-year-old right-hander accomplished this feat since his April 5 start versus the Cubs, though it's worth noting he did face a Yankees lineup that was without superstar Aaron Judge (ribs) on Thursday. Cecconi is set to carry an underwhelming 4.92 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 54:21 over 67.2 innings into a home rematch with the Yankees, and it remains to be seen if Judge will be back in action by then.

The Royals transferred India (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Josh Rojas. India is out for the season after undergoing surgery in late April to repair the labrum in his left shoulder, so his move to the 60-day IL was inevitable.

Rodon took a no-decision Thursday against the Guardians, allowing one run on two hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out seven.

Rodon continues to be difficult to hit, giving up four knocks or fewer in all five of his starts this year, but control remains an issue. The 33-year-old left-hander has now issued multiple free passes each time out, though he's also thrown at least five innings while yielding exactly one run in each of his past three outings. Rodon will try to further improve on a 2.88 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB over 24.2 innings in his next appearance, which is set to be a rematch versus the Guardians in Cleveland.

The Royals placed Kolek on the family medical emergency leave list Thursday.

By rule, Kolek can be away from the club for the next 3-to-7 days while he tends to personal matters. The right-hander's next scheduled start is tentatively lined up to come Tuesday at home against the Rangers. Kolek should be back for that outing, but his fantasy managers should check back in a few days to make sure.

The Astros selected Price's contract from Triple-A Sugar Land on Thursday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Price will receive his first promotion to the majors after slashing .235/.360/.476 with 10 homers, 26 RBI and 19 runs in 47 games at Sugar Land. Cesar Salazar was designated for assignment in a corresponding move, so the door is open for Price to work as Houston's backup catcher until Yainer Diaz (oblique) returns from the injured list.

The Royals selected Rojas' contract from Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Rojas will receive another opportunity in the majors after slashing .246/.309/.433 with six home runs and a 16:32 BB:K over 48 games with Omaha. The 31-year-old will provide infield depth while Maikel Garcia (hamstring) is banged up, and Rojas is capable of handling the outfield, as well.

Gray is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Royals.

The day off comes after Gray committed three errors at shortstop Wednesday. It will be Ryan Kreidler handling the position for the Twins on Thursday.

Bell is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Royals.

Bell is 9-for-26 at the plate during a modest seven-game hitting streak, but he will take a seat for Thursday's series opener. Byron Buxton is getting a start at designated hitter, while James Outman will patrol center field for the Twins.

Valenzuela isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta.

Valenzuela will step out of the starting nine Thursday after going 1-for-6 with a solo homer and three strikeouts across the first two games of the series. Tyler Heineman will fill in as Toronto's catcher and bat eighth.

The Blue Jays designated Andrews for assignment Thursday.

Andrews turned in a pair of scoreless outings after being selected to the active roster last week but was optioned back to Triple-A shortly thereafter. He'll now end up as the odd man out of a 40-man spot to make room for Chad Dallas, who was selected to the big-league roster in a corresponding move. Andrews owns a 1.29 ERA through 21 innings at Buffalo, which could draw interest on the waiver wire from teams in search of bullpen help.
