Trout went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the White Sox.

Trout took Erick Fedde deep in the fourth inning to get the Angels on the board. The future Hall of Famer is up to 10 homers on the season, tied for fourth in the American League with Ben Rice and behind Aaron Judge (12), Munetaka Murakami (12) and Yordan Alvarez (11). Through 31 games this year, Trout is slashing .248/.431/.569 with five steals, 21 RBI and 27 runs.

Zeferjahn blew his first save chance of the season in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the White Sox, allowing one run on one hit over two innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

The right-hander was called upon to get the final six outs with the Angels up 2-1, but Zeferjahn couldn't quite get his team across the finish line, hitting Tristan Peters with a pitch before Sam Antonacci tied the game with a two-out triple. The Halos' closer situation is wide open with Jordan Romano having been cut loose over the weekend, and while it's encouraging that Zeferjahn was entrusted with the save opportunity, he still failed to get the job done. Through 16.1 innings over 11 appearances this season, he's stumbled to a 5.51 ERA despite a 1.16 WHIP, 21:8 K:BB and zero homers allowed. Drew Pomeranz, who got tagged with the loss in the 10th inning, and Chase Silseth are also likely in the closing mix, with Kirby Yates (knee) and Ben Joyce (shoulder) inching closer to coming off the IL and tossing their hats in the ring, as well.

The Orioles recalled Foster from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

The O's optioned Foster to the minors on Saturday, but he'll now return to the big club following Trevor Rogers' (illness) move to the injured list. Foster has struggled to find his footing in the majors, allowing four earned runs on nine hits and five walks through just 5.2 innings.

Rocchio went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Rays.

Hitting ninth in the order for the Guardians, Rocchio kept flipping the lineup over and came home on a Kyle Manzardo sacrifice fly in the third inning and a Chase DeLauter single in the fifth. Rocchio closed out April on a heater, batting .385 (20-for-52) over his last 15 games with two doubles, two homers, two steals, eight runs and 11 RBI.

The Orioles placed Rogers on the 15-day injured list Wednesday, retroactive to April 26, due to an illness.

Rogers has been having a rough go of things on the mound lately, posting a 9.53 ERA and 2.12 WHIP over 11.1 innings across his last three starts. He was forced out of his most recent outing Saturday after giving up three earned runs in just 1.2 frames and now seems to be fighting off an illness severe enough to warrant a trip to the injured list. Cameron Foster will come up from the minors in a corresponding move to add depth to Baltimore's bullpen, though it remains unclear who will fill the void in the rotation.

Smith gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his seventh save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Rays.

The right-hander converted his fourth straight save chance in efficient fashion, firing 10 of his 12 pitches for strikes. Smith has had a bumpier start to the season than expected, but he's been scored upon only once in his last eight appearances and sports a 3.86 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB through 14 innings on the year.

Latz earned the save in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Yankees, allowing a hit while striking out one across two scoreless innings.

Latz now has saves in back-to-back appearances, his first two of the season. The southpaw has been excellent of late, holding opponents scoreless in his last six outings (6.1 innings), allowing just two hits and no walks in that span. Latz's ERA sits at 1.08 on the year with a 0.48 WHIP and 14:3 K:BB across 16.2 innings as he's established himself as one of the Rangers' go-to late-inning arms. Texas' closer situation remains a firm committee, with Latz, Jakob Junis and Tyler Alexander all having recorded multiple saves while Cole Winn is also in the mix.

Williams (5-1) picked up the win Wednesday, allowing one unearned run on five hits over 7.2 innings in a 3-1 victory over the Rays. He struck out nine without walking a batter.

The big right-hander put together his longest outing of the season as he pounded the strike zone, firing 71 of 95 pitches for strikes while generating an impressive 35 called or swinging strikes. It was a strong bounce-back performance after Williams got tagged for six runs over six innings in Toronto last Friday, with Wednesday's quality start being his third in seven trips to the mound this season. Williams will take a 2.70 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and an MLB-leading 53 strikeouts through 43.1 innings into his next outing, which is set to come on the road early next week in Kansas City.

Rodriguez (0-1) took the loss Wednesday against the Rangers, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out three.

Rodriguez looked good early, holding Texas off the board in his first four major-league innings. However, it was a different story in the fifth, when Rodriguez allowed the first four batters to reach in the frame, ultimately conceding two runs without logging an out. Still, there were certainly some positives to take away from the 22-year-old's debut. Rodriguez was excellent in Triple-A to start the year, posting a 1.27 ERA with a 0.90 WHIP and 20 strikeouts across 21.1 innings. He figures to make at least one more start with the Yankees before Gerrit Cole (elbow) and Carlos Rodon (elbow) come off the IL, likely to come next week at home in a rematch with the Rangers.

Rasmussen (2-1) took the loss Wednesday as the Rays were downed 3-1 by the Guardians, giving up three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out six.

The right-hander was lifted after 91 pitches (65 strikes) in a close game, but Tampa Bay's offense couldn't mount a comeback and get him off the hook for his first loss of 2026. Rasmussen did manage to keep the ball in the yard after serving up five homers in his first 25.2 innings this season, but that's been the only real issue for him. He'll take a 2.64 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 32:5 K:BB through 30.2 frames into his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Blue Jays.
