  • Joshua Lowe RF | LAA

Rays' Josh Lowe: Out of Saturday's lineup

Lowe isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Lowe will retreat to the bench Saturday after going 1-for-3 with a walk during a loss in Friday's series opener. While he rests, Christopher Morel, Chandler Simpson and Jake Mangum will start across Tampa Bay's outfield.

  • Dylan Beavers OF | BAL

Orioles' Dylan Beavers: In Saturday's lineup

Beavers (shin) will start in left field and bat fifth against the Yankees on Saturday.

Beavers was forced out of Friday's game after he fouled a ball off his right shin, but he won't have to miss a start due to the incident. The 24-year-old has begun his MLB career on a high note since joining the big club in mid-August, slashing .240/.383/.423 across 129 plate appearances.

  • Orioles' Adley Rutschman: Out of lineup

Rutschman isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Rutschman has gone just 1-for-11 in four games since returning from the injured list, and he'll now receive a day off while Samuel Basallo starts behind the plate and bats eighth.

  • Victor Robles CF | SEA

Mariners' Victor Robles: Rests shoulder Friday

Robles was scratched from Friday's lineup due to a minor shoulder issue, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Robles missed most of the season after dislocating his left shoulder April 6, and with the Mariners locking up the AL West, they opted to give him at least one day off to rest in advance of the postseason. He should be considered day-to-day.

  • Blue Jays' Anthony Santander: Idle Saturday

Santander isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays.

Santander will get a breather after going 1-for-8 with four strikeouts in three games since returning from the injured list. Davis Schneider will fill the resulting void in left field and bat fifth.

  • Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Nabs steal No. 30

Arozarena went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Dodgers.

The veteran outfielder slumped in the middle of September, but Arozarena appears to be pulling himself out of it ahead of the playoffs, going 6-for-21 (.286) over his last five games, although his homer drought now stands at 15 contests. On the season, he has a career-high 27 long balls, and Friday's steal was his 30th -- the second time in his career he's reached that plateau, after he swiped 32 in 2022.

  • George Kirby SP | SEA

Mariners' George Kirby: Fans 10 in Friday's loss

Kirby (10-8) took the loss Friday, giving up two runs on three hits and one walk over five innings as the Mariners fell 3-2 to the Dodgers. He struck out 10.

It's the second time in his last three starts that Kirby has fanned double-digit batters, but he didn't get enough run support in a potential World Series preview to extend his winning streak to three. The right-hander has been prone to the occasional meltdown in the second half of the season, getting tagged for seven earned runs twice in his last 12 outings, but he didn't allowed more than three runs in any of the other 10 starts, giving Kirby a 3.82 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 78:16 K:BB over his last 66 innings heading into the postseason.

  • Tyler Gilbert RP | CHW

White Sox's Tyler Gilbert: Serving as opener Saturday

Gilbert will serve as Chicago's opening pitcher in Saturday's game against the Nationals, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Gilbert will draw his second opening assignment of the month and fifth of the season during the White Sox's penultimate game of 2025. The 31-year-old has given up just one earned run while striking out 13 batters over 8.1 innings this month, and he'll likely remain in the game for an inning or two before handing the ball over to Sean Burke, who is expected to pitch in bulk relief.

  • Orioles' Grant Wolfram: Back in majors

The Orioles recalled Wolfram from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Wolfram will rejoin the Orioles for the final two games of the regular season to replace Dietrich Enns (paternity). Wolfram, 28, has posted a 4.85 ERA and 1.77 WHIP through 26 innings with the O's this year and will likely be limited to middle-relief duties to close the season.

  • Dietrich Enns RP | BAL

Orioles' Dietrich Enns: Placed on paternity list

The Orioles placed Enns on the paternity list Saturday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Enns will be permitted to return to the team for Sunday's series finale, though his move to the paternity list will likely spell the end of his 2025 campaign. If so, he'll finish with a 4.08 ERA and 1.40 WHIP across 46.1 innings between Detroit and Baltimore. Grant Wolfram was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move.
