Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Shifts to 60-day IL
The Diamondbacks transferred Lawlar (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old was given a 6-to-8-week recovery timeline after fracturing his right wrist last week, but the move to the 60-day IL guarantees he will be on the shelf until at least early June. Prior to suffering the injury, Lawlar was off to a hot start this season, going 6-for-18 with a double, a home run and a steal across 20 plate appearances.

Chourio will undergo follow-up imaging on his fractured left wrist Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
As things stand right now, Chourio remains on track to return in mid- to late-April, though it's possible the timetable is altered based on what the imaging shows. Chourio was placed on the 10-day injured list Opening Day as a result of a hand fracture that occurred back on March 4.

Rockies' Michael Lorenzen: Could pitch in relief on 'pen days
Rockies manager Warren Schaeffer said Tuesday that Lorenzen wants to be available to pitch in relief on his between-starts bullpen-session days, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
That day for Lorenzen was Monday, and he would have entered out of the bullpen against the Astros had Juan Mejia gotten into trouble in the ninth inning. Lorenzen remains scheduled to start Wednesday versus Houston but could be available to pitch in relief this weekend in San Diego. The righty has been touched up for 12 runs on 19 hits and two walks over 7.1 frames in his first two starts of the season.

Diamondbacks' Carlos Santana: Shelved by adductor strain
The Diamondbacks placed Santana on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right adductor strain.
Santana suffered the injury in Sunday's game versus Atlanta and will need at least the next week-and-a-half to recuperate. With Pavin Smith (elbow) also shelved, the Diamondbacks' first-base and designated-hitter depth has thinned out. Ildemaro Vargas is at first base and Adrian Del Castillo is at DH on Tuesday against the Mets.

Diamondbacks' Luken Baker: Added to big-league roster
The Diamondbacks selected Baker's contract from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.
He's absorbing the roster spot vacated by the injured Carlos Santana (groin). With Santana and Pavin Smith (elbow) both sidelined, Baker will see some starts between first base and/or designated hitter, though he could be limited mostly to playing versus lefties. Baker is a career .206/.317/.338 hitter with four home runs over parts of three seasons in the majors.
