Double-A Biloxi activated Wilken (knee) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Wilken has been sidelined since late June with a dislocated left kneecap, which he sustained during the celebration of Biloxi's first-half championship. The 23-year-old slugged 18 home runs in 65 games with Biloxi before getting injured, though his production came with a .230 average and 26.1 percent strikeout rate.

The Cardinals promoted Lin from High-A Peoria to Double-A Springfield on Tuesday.

Peoria placed Lin on its 7-day injured list with an unspecified injury coming out of the All-Star break, but the 23-year-old was activated Aug. 5 and made three starts prior to receiving a promotion. The right-hander turned in a 4.89 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 46:29 K:BB over 38.2 innings in 12 total starts with Peoria on the season.

Taylor went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, three runs scored and an RBI in Monday's win over the Phillies.

It's his second three-hit performance in his last four games as the veteran outfielder's playing time begins to pick up again. Taylor has gotten the nod twice in center field and twice in left since Aug. 21, and while three of those starts came with southpaws on the mound for the opposition, Brandon Nimmo's recent difficulty staying healthy could offer Taylor more opportunities outside of his usual short-side platoon role.

McNeil went 2-for-4 with three RBI in Monday's win over the Phillies.

Getting the start at second base before sliding out to right field, McNeil tied the game at 3-3 with an RBI single in the fourth inning before driving in a couple more runs late in the contest as the Mets poured on the offense in an eventual 13-3 rout. It's the fourth time in his last six games that McNeil has racked up multiple RBI, and through 21 contests in August he's slashing .300/.352/.487 with six doubles, three homers, 12 runs and 15 RBI.

Castillo (1-2) picked up the win over the Phillies on Monday, working a scoreless fifth inning without a strikeout or a walk.

The 29-year-old lefty plunked J.T. Realmuto with a pitch to lead off the inning, but an Alec Bohm double play erased the threat, and the Mets broke open a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the fifth en route to a 13-3 rout. It was Castillo's first big-league win since 2018 with San Diego, and over 13.1 innings in the New York bullpen this season he's posted a 2.03 ERA and 17:6 K:BB, albeit with an alarming 1.73 WHIP.

The Dodgers announced Friday that Stewart (shoulder) has resumed playing light catch, MLB.com reports.

Stewart was shut down from throwing for about a week after he received cortisone and platelet-rich plasma injections for his inflamed right shoulder, an injury that sent him to the shelf Aug. 12. The right-hander seems to have responded well to the injections but will have a few more checkpoints to hit in the recovery process before heading out on a rehab assignment. Stewart doesn't appear on track to return from the injured list until around mid-September.

Zuber gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless two-thirds of an inning Monday to record his first hold of the season in a win over Atlanta.

With the Marlins clinging to a 1-0 lead, Zuber took the mound to begin the eighth inning against the bottom of Atlanta's order and got two outs before Jurickson Profar knocked him from the game with a double. Zuber has been scored upon in only one of seven appearances since joining the big-league roster in early August while posting a 10:3 K:BB in 8.2 innings, and he may be getting an audition in a higher-leverage role over the final weeks of the season. Given manager Clayton McCullough's scattershot bullpen usage this season, it wouldn't be a huge shock if the right-hander saw occasional ninth-inning duty -- eight different players have picked up a save for Miami this year, and six different relievers have multiple saves, led by Calvin Faucher's 12.

Acosta went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's win over Atlanta.

Getting the start at third base and batting ninth, the rookie infielder homered off Pierce Johnson in the eighth inning for what proved to be the game-winning run. Acosta has just three hits in his first 18 big-league at-bats, but all three have left the yard for solo shots. The 22-year-old seems likely to lose his spot on the roster once Connor Norby (wrist) is cleared to come off the IL, although the Marlins could delay that move until Sept. 1 in order to keep Acosta in the majors and take a longer look at him, as the team shifts its focus from a long-shot wild-card bid to 2026.

Stephenson (thumb) played catch and blocked softer baseballs Monday in a test of the thumb guard fitted for his catcher's mitt, MLB.com reports.

Stephenson was encouraged by the activity and is scheduled to take batting practice Friday. The Reds remain in the mix for a wild-card spot, so if Stephenson is deemed capable of playing through a left thumb fracture, he'll likely return from the 10-day injured list in early September.

Jarvis allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six over 5.2 innings of relief in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Brewers.

Starter Eduardo Rodriguez retired the first six batters he faced, but he endured a rough third inning in which he recorded just one out before he was lifted from the game. Arizona then turned to Jarvis in long relief, and though he allowed a pair of solo home runs, he otherwise limited the damage to save the Arizona bullpen and allow the team to stay competitive in the loss. Jarvis is expected to continue serving as a long reliever, but now that he's been stretched back out after Tuesday's 88-pitch outing, he could be a candidate to start if an opening in the rotation should emerge at any point.
