Burns' start against Atlanta on Saturday has been suspended due to inclement weather, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Burns tossed one perfect inning before the suspension, striking out two batters.

After a rain delay lasting well over an hour, Burns took the mound in the first inning and mowed down Atlanta in order on 18 pitches. That will likely end up being the extent of his outing, as the contest has been suspended. Though the matchup will resume Sunday afternoon, Burns is unlikely to retake the mound.

Realmuto went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 7-5 loss to Detroit.

Realmuto has now hit fourth or fifth in Philadelphia's lineup for 11 consecutive games, and the move up the batting order should amplify the veteran catcher's RBI upside as long as Alec Bohm (ribs) remains on the injured list. Since the start of July, Realmuto is hitting a torrid .345 with two home runs, eight doubles, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored over 21 outings (87 at-bats).

Harper went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Tigers.

Harper accounted for two of the Phillies' five hits off Tarik Skubal and made things interesting late with a two-run blast in the eighth inning. In 14 games since the All-Star break, the 32-year-old Harper has tallied five multi-hit efforts while launching six homers with 12 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base. For the season, Harper is slashing .269/.375/.503 with 16 home runs, 47 RBI, 50 runs scored and 10 steals across 363 plate appearances.

Andujar is replacing Gavin Lux in Saturday's starting lineup against Atlanta, batting fifth and playing left field, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Lux was originally slated to start against righty Spencer Strider, but Strider was scratched as a result of a lengthy weather delay. Atlanta is now deploying lefty Austin Cox as an opener, and the Reds are countering by swapping in the righty-hitting Andujar for the lefty-hitting Lux.

Lux had originally been penciled in to start in left field and bat fifth, but his spot in the lineup and in the field has been handed to Miguel Andujar. The change doesn't seem to be injury related; rather, Atlanta has scratched original starting pitcher Spencer Strider after a lengthy weather delay and is now starting southpaw Austin Cox. As a result, the lefty-hitting Lux will defer to the righty-hitting Andujar.

Wheeler (9-5) took the loss against the Tigers on Saturday, allowing four runs (three earned) on nine hits and no walks with 10 strikeouts over six innings.

Wheeler generated 15 whiffs on 98 pitches and turned in a quality start, but he was burned by three home runs and ultimately outdueled by Tarik Skubal. The 35-year-old has now dropped back-to-back starts for the first time this season and has allowed four runs in three of his past four outings, though one was unearned Saturday. He still boasts a stellar 2.64 ERA and 0.92 WHIP while leading all qualified starters with 182 strikeouts across 139.2 innings. Wheeler is slated to face the Rangers on the road next weekend.

Cox will open Saturday's game against the Reds after Spencer Strider was scratched due to a weather delay, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Strider had already completed most or all of his warmup before the delay -- which lasted well over an hour -- was announced, so Atlanta decided not to put the star hurler on the mound. Cox will instead open what's slated to be a bullpen game. The lefty hasn't tossed more than two innings in any big-league appearance this season, though he did go 3.2 frames and throw 60 pitches in a start with Triple-A Gwinnett the last time he was on the mound (July 24). Therefore, he's well-rested and stretched out enough to handle a few frames if Atlanta opts for that approach.

Strider has been scratched from his start in Saturday's matchup with the Cincinnati at the MLB Speedway Classic in Bristol, Tenn. due to the game being delayed over an hour by inclement weather, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Strider had already completed most or all of his warmup before the delay was announced, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com, so Atlanta is opting to go to a bullpen game rather than risking an injury to the star hurler. Atlanta is off Sunday, so Strider's next start likely won't come until at least Monday against Milwaukee. It's not yet clear which reliever will start Saturday for Atlanta if the game takes place.

Musgrove (elbow) threw 20 pitches (all fastballs) in a bullpen session Saturday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Musgrove had previously thrown off a mound, but that consisted simply of tossing to a standing catcher. Sanders deemed Musgrove's activity Saturday as his "first official bullpen session" since the veteran hurler underwent Tommy John surgery last October. Musgrove is scheduled to throw a bullpen every Tuesday and Saturday moving forward, and he could begin introducing his secondary pitches after about eight sessions. Musgrove stated Saturday that his goal is to get into at least one minor-league rehab game before the end of the campaign, saying, "I want one inning ... I don't care if it's one hitter. I just want to be able to say I contributed in some aspect on the field." Triple-A El Paso -- the Padres' affiliate that goes the longest -- ends its regular season Sept. 21, so for Musgrove to accomplish his goal he may need to be allowed to pitch in a minor-league playoff game (if El Paso qualifies) or settle for an appearance in the fall instructional league in Arizona.

Giants manager Bob Melvin said after Saturday's defeat to the Mets that Teng is expected to get another start, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Teng (0-1) struggled in Saturday's start, allowing five runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four batters over 3.1 innings to take the loss.

Teng's first MLB start -- and 2025 big-league debut -- didn't go well, as the right-hander was tagged for five runs. However, three of those runs came in the first inning, and Teng managed to somewhat settle down thereafter -- the other two runs on his ledger crossed the plate after his departure in the fourth. Teng also managed nine whiffs among his 67 pitches and struck out four batters, and the Giants appear content enough with the right-hander's performance to give him another look as a starter. However, Landen Roupp (elbow) could be activated off the IL soon after Teng's next turn in the rotation, at which point the latter could head back to the minors.
