The Dodgers optioned Sheehan to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

After Sheehan was shelled for five earned runs in 2.2 innings during Sunday's 8-4 loss to the Red Sox, manager Dave Roberts acknowledged the right-hander's recent struggles, though he said that he didn't indicate that the Dodgers had any immediate plans to alter their rotation, per Katie Woo of The Athletic. The Dodgers ended up changing their tune a day later, as Sheehan will head to the minors to clear room on the 26-man active roster for catcher Hunter Feduccia, who was acquired shortly before Monday's trade deadline. With Los Angeles also adding Tarik Skubal and Kris Bubic (shoulder/elbow) ahead of the deadline and with Blake Snell (elbow) and Tyler Glasnow (back) nearing returns from the injured list, Sheehan could be bound for the bullpen the next time he receives a call-up. The 26-year-old righty has turned in a 4-8 record, 5.29 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over 95.1 innings in 20 starts with the Dodgers this season.

Moreno was scratched from the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres to attend the birth of his second child, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

James McCann will enter the lineup at catcher and as the Diamondbacks' No. 8 hitter in place of Moreno, who has been running hot at the plate since the All-Star break with a .286/.360/.444 batting line, two home runs, 15 RBI and 12 runs in 16 games. Moreno could go on the paternity list Tuesday, which would allow him to remain away from the team for between one and three days to spend time with his growing family.

Sheets is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Over his last 20 games, Sheets is slashing an abysmal .120/.281/.120 with no extra-base hits, and his extended slump could be starting to cost him playing time. He'll hit the bench for the fourth time in five games, with two of his absences coming against righties and two coming against lefties.

Rumfield is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Lefty Ian Seymour is starting for the Rays, so the Rockies decided it was an ideal time to give the left-handed-hitting Rumfield a night off. The rookie started in each of the Rockies' previous seven games, going 7-for-29 with a double, a walk, five RBI and three runs.

Moniak is closing in on a two-year contract extension with the Rockies, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Moniak has completely turned his career around since signing with the Rockies before the 2025 season. Since joining Colorado last season, Moniak has slashed .273/.312/.534 with 41 home runs and 115 RBI in 739 plate appearances. The deal is likely to be finalized Tuesday.

Amaya is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

Carson Kelly will draw the start behind the plate Monday, but he and Amaya appear to have settled into a pattern of alternating turns at catcher. Amaya had started in five of the previous 10 games, going 5-for-17 with a double, three RBI and two runs.

Colorado recalled Frasso from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.

Frasso will make his first big-league stint with the Rockies after being traded from the Dodgers on July 20. With Antonio Senzatela and Victor Vodnik both being dealt elsewhere during Monday's trade deadline, the Rockies, in need of another bullpen arm, promoted Frasso. During his time with both Triple-A Oklahoma and Albuquerque this season, the 27-year-old recorded a 4.15 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 48:18 K:BB in 30.1 innings.

Muncy is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

The Dodgers will hand the left-handed-hitting Muncy a night off while southpaw Matthew Boyd toes the rubber for the Cubs. Enrique Hernandez will fill in for Muncy at third base and will bat eighth.

Beck was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.

Beck has been back and forth between the big-league and Triple-A bullpen all season. He should work in low-leverage spots after the Giants dealt away four big-league pitchers prior to Monday's trade deadline.

Happ is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

The Cubs will give Happ a breather after he went 0-for-7 with a walk and a strikeout in the final two games of the weekend series with the Yankees. After being recalled from Triple-A Iowa, Kevin Alcantara will enter the starting nine in left field in place of Happ on Monday.
