Fitzgerald went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Fitzgerald gave the Giants a little more breathing room with his eighth-inning homer. He's gone just 4-for-20 (.200) over six games since he was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento, though he has two doubles and a homer in that span. Overall, he's at a .227/.287/.333 slash line with three homers, 13 RBI, 18 runs scored, nine stolen bases, 10 doubles and one triple over 63 games. Fitzgerald is still seeing a starting role at second base, but with Matt Chapman back from the injured list, Brett Wisely could be in contention for more time at second base until Casey Schmitt (hand) is ready to return as well.

Adames went 1-for-3 with a home run, two walks and three RBI in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Adames twice drew bases-loaded walks to force in runs. He also had a solo shot in the fourth inning to extend his hitting streak to seven games. During that span, he's gone 11-for-26 (.423) with four extra-base hits, nine RBI and four walks. The shortstop's up to a .226/.313/.370 slash line with 11 homers, 45 RBI, 50 runs scored and four stolen bases through 90 contests this season.

Birdsong (4-3) allowed one run on three hits and five walks while striking out six over five innings to earn the win Sunday over the Athletics.

Birdsong continues to have trouble with walks, but the Athletics weren't able to punish him for it. This ended a stretch of five starts without a win for the right-hander -- a span in which he had a 7.54 ERA over 22.2 innings. He's at a 4.11 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 68:33 K:BB across 65.2 innings through 20 appearances (nine starts) this season. Birdsong is tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Dodgers, who figure to be much more capable of capitalizing if his command is lacking.

Tatis went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, two walks, one stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.

Tatis set the table well from the leadoff spot, where he's been for all five games in July after a brief drop to the cleanup spot in late June. He's gone 6-for-19 (.316) to begin this month, adding two stolen bases and five walks, which is a positive sign that he's shaking off the slump that he went through in the second half of June. Overall, Tatis is at a .261/.355/.444 slash line with 15 home runs, 19 steals, 39 RBI, 62 runs scored, 12 doubles and two triples across 87 contests.

Suarez struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.

Suarez's outing was drama-free, a welcome sight after he had allowed three runs over his last 2.1 innings, which resulted in one blown save. He's been a little shaky since mid-June, but it hasn't cost him his closer role despite the talent present in the Padres' bullpen. Suarez is 25-for-28 in save chances while adding a 3.82 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB across 37.2 innings this season.

Hart (3-2) struck out two over 3.2 perfect innings of bulk relief to earn the win Sunday over the Rangers.

Hart was sharp following opener David Morgan, who gave up one run on four hits and a walk in 1.1 innings. Hart had struggled in earlier stints in the majors, but this was a positive outing. He's now at a 5.83 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB across 29.1 innings over seven games. There's an open spot in the rotation even with Yu Darvish (elbow) set to make his season debut Monday, so Hart could stick around in the majors after replacing Stephen Kolek on the big-league roster.

Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-5 with one RBI and one stolen base in Sunday's 11-0 win over the Cardinals.

Crow-Armstrong has logged four steals over his last 12 games, a span in which he's batting .265 (13-for-49). He continues to rank among the majors' best on the basepaths -- his 27 steals on the year are good for third in baseball. He hasn't been a slouch with the bat either, slashing .272/.309/.550 with 23 home runs, 67 RBI, 64 runs scored, 20 doubles and four triples over 89 games in a breakout year.

Tucker went 1-for-2 with a walk, three RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 11-0 win over the Cardinals.

Tucker was right in the middle of the Cubs' early attack Sunday. He delivered a two-run single in the second inning and added a sacrifice fly in the third. He has logged four steals over his last 11 games, going 11-for-42 (.262) at the plate in that span. Overall, the talented outfielder is having a strong all-around year. He's batting .284 with a .902 OPS, 17 home runs, 22 steals, 55 RBI, 65 runs scored, 18 doubles and four triples across 89 contests.

Hoerner went 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, one RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 11-0 win over the Cardinals.

Hoerner was a homer shy of the cycle by the fourth inning, but he grounded out in the sixth and was replaced on defense by Jon Berti to begin the eighth. A cycle would be a bit of a long shot for the light-hitting Hoerner, though he has shown a little more power lately -- all three of his homers on the year have come since June 24. The infielder has added a .287/.336/.382 slash line with 37 RBI, 51 runs scored, 16 stolen bases, 18 doubles and two triples over 86 games.

Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an RBI double in Sunday's 11-0 win over the Cardinals.

Suzuki continues to extend his career high in homers -- he's now at 25 on the year after his seventh blast in the last 14 games. The 30-year-old also contributed an RBI double in the Cubs' five-run rally in the third inning. Suzuki is up to a .263/.319/.561 slash line, 77 RBI, 48 runs scored, 22 doubles, three triples and two stolen bases over 86 contests as he enjoys a career year in the power categories.
