Lux is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

The Yankees are sending a lefty (Max Fried) to the hill for the second day in a row, so the left-handed-hitting Lux will once again take a seat. With Lux on the bench, Santiago Espinal will get the nod at third base and will bat ninth.

Benson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Benson and fellow left-handed hitters Gavin Lux and Jake Fraley will all hit the bench for the series finale while the Yankees send a southpaw (Max Fried) to the bump for the second straight day. Though Benson has been a fixture in the Cincinnati outfield against right-handed pitching for the past five weeks, his playing time could soon dry up with Austin Hays (foot) nearing a return from the injured list.

Torrens is absent from the lineup for Wednesday contest versus Atlanta.

Torrens started each of the first three games after Francisco Alvarez was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday, but he'll get a day off Wednesday. Hayden Senger will handle catching duties for the Mets.

Taylor is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

For the second straight game and third time over the last five contests, the Mets will go with Jeff McNeil in center field over Taylor, while Ronny Mauricio handles second base. Taylor is slashing only .190/.250/.293 in 20 June games.

The Mets selected Pintaro's contract from Double-A Binghamton on Wednesday.

A 27-year-old righty who went undrafted out of Division II Shorter University in 2022, Pintaro made a rapid ascent to the big leagues after he had been pitching in independent ball in Montana a year ago before signing a minor-league deal with the Mets last June. He's thrived while pitching out of the rotation with Binghamton in 2025, turning in a 3.40 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 57:15 K:BB across 42.1 innings. Pintaro will work in long relief for the Mets initially, though he could garner consideration for a starting role with the big club at some point if a rotation spot opens up.

The Mets designated Lovelady for assignment Wednesday.

Lovelady was just signed Monday and made one appearance for the Mets, allowing two runs over 1.2 innings. If he clears waivers, Lovelady will have the ability to elect free agency.

The Mets recalled Waddell from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday.

Waddell has made four relief appearances for the Mets this season, allowing four runs with a 7:2 K:BB over 10.2 innings. He'll look to provide more stability to the Mets' left-handed relief corps.

McCoy (finger) has slashed .353/.400/.627 with three home runs, two stolen bases, 12 RBI and 11 runs in 12 games for Triple-A El Paso since the Padres activated him from the 10-day injured list June 7 and optioned him to the minors.

McCoy appeared in four games for the Padres earlier this season before being placed on the IL on April 29 due to a sprained finger on his left hand. The 30-year-old infielder was cleared to begin a minor-league assignment May 20, and after his 20-day rehab window was nearing its end, the Padres opted to send him to their top affiliate. McCoy could be in the mix for a call-up with San Diego later on this summer if the big club has a need for a utility infielder.

Lawlar (hamstring) will start at third base and bat second for Triple-A Reno in Wednesday's game against Salt Lake.

Lawlar has been out of action for Reno since last Thursday due to a sore hamstring, but he didn't require a stint on the injured list and is now back in action for the Triple-A club. The Diamondbacks are optimistic Eugenio Suarez (hand) will be able to avoid the 10-day injured list, but if he can't, Lawlar is an option to take his roster spot and get some playing time at the hot corner with the big club. Lawlar went hitless during his brief time in the majors in 2025 but boasts a .997 OPS with 10 home runs and 18 steals over 52 games with Reno.
