Pederson went 0-for-2 and stole a base in Saturday's 5-0 loss to San Diego.

Pederson was on the back end of a double steal in the sixth inning but was stranded there. The theft was his career-high seventh. Arizona faces a must-win situation Sunday for a chance at the postseason, and the Padres have left-hander Martin Perez scheduled, which means Pederson is not expected to start.

Miller (5-1) worked around a hit in a scoreless two-thirds of an inning to earn the win Saturday against the Reds.

Chicago starter Kyle Hendricks was stellar through 7.1 innings as he kept Cincinnati off the board, but the Cubs turned to Miller to get through the top of the eighth. The righty delivered and then was set up for the win when the Cubs scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the eighth. Miller has been excellent for Chicago this season with a 2.32 ERA and 0.81 WHIP across 62 innings of relief, and his five wins are the most on the team among current members of the bullpen.

Carroll went 1-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Padres.

Carroll had one of two hits for Arizona, but the team couldn't deliver a knock with runners in scoring position in a game that could prove to be crucial for its wild-card chances. He doubled to lead off the sixth inning and moved to third on a double steal but was stranded there. Carroll has hit safely in five straight, going 6-for-19 with a double, home runs, three walks, two steals, two RBI and three runs scored.

Donovan went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Giants.

Donovan was part of a seventh-inning rally for the Cardinals, producing a two-run double before scoring on a Jordan Walker single. With four multi-hit efforts over his last 10 games, Donovan has put together a strong finish to the campaign. The versatile 27-year-old has a .276/.338/.411 slash line with 13 home runs, five stolen bases, 71 RBI, 64 runs scored, 34 doubles and three triples over 152 games.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Giants.

Goldschmidt made two outs in the contest, and he generated an RBI on each of those plays. One was a sacrifice fly and the other was a groundout. He's batting .250 (9-for-36) over his last nine games and now has a .245/.301/.412 slash line with 22 home runs, 64 RBI, 70 runs scored, 11 stolen bases and 32 doubles over 153 contests.

Liberatore (3-4) allowed an unearned run on two hits and struck out two over one inning, taking the loss Saturday versus the Giants. He did not issue a walk.

Liberatore gave up the go-ahead run in the eighth inning, and the Cardinals weren't able to make a comeback. Over his last 13 innings, Liberatore has allowed nine runs (eight earned) with a 10:4 K:BB. He's filled a number of roles this year with mediocre results, pitching to a 4.40 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 76:28 K:BB across 86 innings spanning 60 outings (six starts).

Bailey went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Cardinals.

Bailey has gone 12-for-43 (.279) with three extra-base hits and four RBI over his last 14 games. His steal Saturday was his fourth of the year and his first since July 22. The catcher has put together a middling year at the plate, slashing .234/.298/.339 with eight home runs, 46 RBI, 46 runs scored, 16 doubles and a triple over 121 contests. While he hasn't hit all that well, Bailey's elite pitch framing and arm have made him an essential part of the Giants' roster.

Walker (10-4) allowed a hit and a walk over a scoreless inning to earn the win Saturday over the Cardinals.

Walker kept the game tied in the eighth inning before the Giants took the lead in the bottom of the frame. Walker is one of two relievers in the majors -- the other being Houston's Hector Neris -- to earn 10 wins this season. Over 80 innings, Walker has added a 1.91 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, 99:18 K:BB, 10 saves and 22 holds while emerging as one the Giants' best relievers.

Bivens allowed a hit and struck out two over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Cardinals.

Bivens has mostly been used in long-relief spots this year, but he was called on for a save chance after Ryan Walker pitched in a high-leverage spot in the eighth inning. Bivens was up to the task, earning his first major-league save, though he's not unfamiliar with the closing role after earning eight saves with Triple-A Sacramento in 2024. In the majors, Bivens has a 3.14 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 37:11 K:BB across 48.2 innings over 27 appearances (two starts).

Lockridge went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

This was the second hit and first homer of Lockridge's big-league career. He has mainly seen time off the bench since he was called up from Triple-A El Paso on Sept. 11. The 27-year-old is 2-for-9 with two stolen bases and four runs scored over 11 contests.
