Williamson could win a spot in the Reds' Opening Day rotation, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports. Williamson threw four shutout innings in Sunday's spring training game and has a 1.64 ERA with a 13:2 K:BB over 11 innings so far.

Williamson's stat line is nice enough, but also Chase Burns isn't quite extended out like the Reds would have hoped for, nor is his range of mobility where they'd like it, which could give them the impetus to keep Williamson. Williamson missed all of the 2025 season after having Tommy John elbow surgery in September of 2024.

Goodman went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's Cactus League game against the Angels.

Goodman has only five hits in 34 at-bats this spring, with Sunday's long ball marking his second extra-base hit and home run of the exhibition season. Despite unremarkable results, Goodman is striking out only 22.2 percent of the time and still projects to be one of the Rockies' best hitters in 2026.

Urquidy allowed three earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four and walking one across 3.2 innings in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Rays.

It was a mixed performance for Urquidy, who built up to 61 pitches and also managed more strikeouts than walks in an outing for the first time in three appearances this spring. He's also allowed three earned runs in each of those outings, resulting in nine earned runs across 8.2 innings. Urquidy was the presumed fifth starter for the Pirates entering the spring, but he may be leaving the door open for either Hunter Barco or Carmen Mlodzinski to claim the role instead.

Realmuto has been under the weather the past few days but could return to the Phillies' Grapefruit League lineup Tuesday against the Twins, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Realmuto has a .786 OPS through 19 plate appearances during spring training, so the illness shouldn't affect his availability for the start of the regular season. The 34-year-old is coming off a 2025 regular season that saw him post his worst OPS (.699) since his second MLB campaign in 2015.

Stone (shoulder) said Sunday that he hopes to begin playing catch next week, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

The right-hander was shut down in early March after being diagnosed with inflammation in his surgically repaired right shoulder, so it will take him some time to build his arm back up. Stone is hoping he can get back to mound work within the next month, which will likely push his return timeline into at least May.

The Diamondbacks reassigned Hatch to minor-league camp Thursday, Alex D'Agostino of SI.com reports.

Hatch joined Arizona on a minor-league deal in January after he spent the 2025 season in the Royals and Twins organizations, logging a 5.82 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 22:17 K:BB over 34 big-league innings between the two stops. After the right-hander was unable to win a spot on Arizona's Opening Day roster, he'll likely serve as a swingman at Triple-A Reno to begin the 2026 campaign.

The Diamondbacks reassigned Jarvis to minor-league camp Thursday, Alex D'Agostino of SI.com reports.

Jarvis made 12 appearances at the big-league level for Arizona in 2025, submitting a 5.73 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 21:10 K:BB in 22 innings. He was outrighted off the 40-man roster in December and now appears set to open the season at Triple-A Reno after he was unable to break camp with a spot in the Diamondbacks bullpen.

The Diamondbacks reassigned Dubin to minor-league camp Thursday, Alex D'Agostino of SI.com reports.

Dubin had been attending camp as a non-roster invitee and was unable to secure a spot in Arizona's Opening Day bullpen after giving up four runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks over five innings in Cactus League play. The 30-year-old righty spent the 2025 season in the Astros and Orioles organizations, making 30 appearances in the majors while pitching to a 5.08 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 28:11 K:BB across 33.2 frames.

Plenty of spots in Arizona's Opening Day bullpen were up for grabs in spring training, but Campbell was unable to seize one despite allowing just two baserunners over five innings across six Cactus League appearances. Campbell saw big-league action in each of the past three seasons but is slated to begin the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Reno.

The Cardinals optioned Fernandez to Triple-A Memphis on Sunday.

The right-hander made 32 relief appearances for St. Louis last year but struggled to a 7.71 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in 30.1 innings. Fernandez wasn't any better during spring training with eight runs allowed and a 7:5 K:BB across six frames, so he'll begin 2026 at Triple-A.
