Reynolds went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk Thursday against Atlanta.

Reynolds went back-to-back with Esmerlyn Valdez in the third inning to tally his 14th home run of the season. Reynolds has hit particularly well early in July, with this being his third long ball in eight contests, going 9-for-33 with seven runs scored, five RBI and two stolen bases. He now has a .196 ISO across 410 plate appearances, in line with his marks from 2022 and 2023, which are some of the more productive seasons of his career.

Valdez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk Thursday against Atlanta.

Valdez took Bryce Elder deep in the third inning for his seventh home run of the season. Though his power production has fallen since he homered in four straight games to end June, he has still looked plenty capable of handling big-league pitching. In Valdez's last nine games, he's gone 11-for-37 with one homer, six RBI and six runs scored. He's also started 10 straight contests.

Triple-A Lehigh Valley activated Holman (undisclosed) from the 7-day injured list Wednesday.

After completing a rehab assignment with Single-A Clearwater, Holman gave up three runs (one earned) on three hits and no walks while striking out one in 1.1 innings Wednesday in his return to Triple-A ball. Through 13.2 minor-league innings this year, the 26-year-old right-hander has a 6.59 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 20:5 K:BB.

Peterson allowed one run on two hits across five innings and did not factor into the decision in Thursday's loss to the Orioles. He walked four and struck out two.

Peterson pitched pretty well overall Thursday but struggled with his command as he tied a season high in walks. Even with the shaky control it was still a huge step in the right direction for the lefty after being tagged for 10 runs in only 3.2 innings in his last start. Peterson will now carry a 6.45 ERA and 1.64 WHIP into the All-Star break, and he should slot into the back of Chicago's rotation once the second half kicks off, at least until the likes of Jameson Taillon (hamstring), Edward Cabrera (hamstring) and Ben Brown (neck) are able to return.

Mangum went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double, an additional RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's 10-5 loss to Atlanta.

It's the fourth career four-hit game for Mangum, highlighted by his two-run blast off Bryce Elder in the fourth inning, his second homer this season. The switch-hitting outfielder has gone 18-for-50 (.360) over his last 12 games, boosting his slash line to .311/.361/.383 across 244 plate appearances this season with 32 runs scored, 18 RBI and 18 stolen bases.

Jarvis went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and a double in Thursday's 10-5 win over the Pirates.

Jarvis extended Atlanta's lead to 5-2 in the fourth inning with his two-run, 397-foot blast off Cam Sanders, the first homer of his big-league career. Jarvis has seen regular playing time at shortstop since he was recalled from Triple-A in early July. He's gone 6-for-19 across five games after slashing .313/.406/.461 with six homers across 348 plate appearances in the minors this year.

Keller (6-7) took the loss Thursday against Atlanta, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out three.

Keller has been struggling mightily of late, posting a 7.62 ERA in his last eight starts (39 innings). The home-run ball in particular has been a problem for Keller -- he's now given up six long balls in his last four outings. The right-hander will head into the All-Star break with a 5.14 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 77:35 K:BB across 19 starts (103.1 innings).

Elder did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Pirates, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks across four innings. He struck out three.

Elder was hurt by the long ball again Thursday, with all four of the runs charged to the right-hander coming on three homers. Elder's now given up 22 earned runs and eight homers in 18 innings across his last four outings. He'll head into the All-Star break with a 4.12 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 86:32 K:BB across 18 starts (102.2 innings) this season.

Caissie was diagnosed with a mild right calf strain Thursday, Craig Mish of FanDuel Sports Network Florida reports.

Caissie landed on the injured list Thursday after making an early exit from Wednesday's game, and although the severity of his strain is mild, he'll still have to spend more than the 10-day minimum on the IL and aim to rejoin the Marlins at some point in late July or early August. In the meantime, Rece Hinds, Heriberto Hernandez and Esteury Ruiz will be in the mix for starts in the outfield.

Goodman (wrist) will serve as the designated hitter and bat fourth Thursday against the Giants.

Goodman missed two starts while tending to a wrist injury he suffered Monday, though he was able to enter Wednesday's game off the bench and is now ready to return to the starting nine for Thursday's contest. The 26-year-old backstop has been playing exceptionally well as of late, slashing .333/.386/.846 with six homers, 12 RBI and 10 runs scored across his last 10 games prior to getting hurt.
