Stephenson is not in Cincinnati's starting lineup against Baltimore on Saturday.

Stephenson will get a rest day for the second time in three days while Jose Trevino starts behind home plate and bats seventh. Stephenson has gone 7-for-18 (.389) with two RBI and three doubles over his last five games.

Marte is not in the Reds' starting lineup against the Orioles on Saturday.

Marte is in the midst of a five-game hitting streak, having gone 5-for-20 (.250) with one home run and three RBI in that span. He'll be on the bench for Saturday's contest while the Reds start JJ Bleday, TJ Friedl and Spencer Steer in the outfield from left to right.

Atlanta optioned Molina to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.

Molina was recalled from Gwinnett prior to Friday's game against the Mets but was not used out of the bullpen. He'll now head back to Triple-A, where he has a 4.14 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 47:18 K:BB across 45.2 innings this season (13 games, eight starts). Atlanta recalled JR Ritchie from Gwinnett in a corresponding move.

Atlanta reinstated Farmer (forearm) from the 10-day injured list Saturday.

Farmer has been on the 10-day IL since mid-May due to a strained right forearm. He was cleared for a rehab assignment in late June and went 2-for-20 with one home run, three RBI and five runs scored during his time in the minors. While he didn't look great at the plate during his rehab assignment, Farmer has progressed enough in his recovery to return to the majors, with his reinstatement from the IL corresponding with Atlanta placing Ha-Seong Kim (finger) on the 10-day IL.

Atlanta placed Kim on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to Wednesday, due to right middle finger inflammation.

Kim has gone 0-for-24 with four walks and eight strikeouts over his last 13 games and has not recorded a hit since June 3 against the Blue Jays. The 30-year-old infielder is eligible to return from the IL prior to the All-Star break, though it's unclear whether he'll need a longer stint on the shelf. Kyle Farmer (forearm) was reinstated from the 10-day IL in a corresponding move.

Atlanta recalled Ritchie from Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.

Ritchie was scratched from his scheduled start with Gwinnett on Saturday and will join the big club in Atlanta to provide a fresh arm out of the bullpen. Over eight appearances (seven starts) with the big club on the season, Ritchie owns a 4.87 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across 40.2 innings.

Cavalli will start Sunday against the Pirates in Washington, Kyle Williams of TheBanner.com reports.

Cavalli was initially expected to make his next turn in the rotation Monday against the Astros, but he will take the mound for the Nationals on Sunday instead of Miles Mikolas, who will likely start in the series opener against Houston. Cavalli is appealing a seven-game suspension that he received Thursday for his involvement in a bench-clearing incident with the Red Sox on Tuesday. Cavalli has a 3.69 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 102:29 K:BB across 90.1 innings this season.

Ritchie is set to join Atlanta after he was scratched from his scheduled start with Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday, Lindsay Crosby of BravesToday.com reports.

Crosby relays that Ritchie joining Atlanta's 26-man roster will likely correspond with Bryce Elder being placed on the 15-day injured list after the latter's turn in the rotation was skipped due to arm fatigue. Ritchie has split his time between the majors and Triple-A this season, and across eight appearances (seven starts) with Atlanta, he has a 1-2 record with a 4.87 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 37:25 K:BB across 40.2 innings.

The Reds designated Benson for assignment Saturday.

The move comes after the Reds reinstated Hunter Greene (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Saturday. Benson was sent down to Triple-A Louisville in late June after struggling to a .188/.310/.333 slash line with one steal, three homers and six RBI across 113 major-league plate appearances. He's been better in the minors, and Benson could stick around in Cincinnati if he clears waivers.

The Reds optioned Petty to Triple-A Louisville following Friday's game against the Orioles.

The move makes room on the Reds' 26-man roster for Hunter Greene (elbow), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start against Baltimore on Saturday. Petty has appeared in 10 major-league games (two starts) for Cincinnati this season and has a 4.37 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, one save and a 9:7 K:BB across 22.2 innings.
