Kelly is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against San Francisco.

Kelly will ride the bench for the third time in the past five games. The 31-year-old has slugged .277/.355/.367 with three homers in 186 plate appearances this season. Miguel Amaya will take over catching duties and bat eighth Saturday.

Tovar (lower leg) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics.

Tovar was a late scratch from the lineup ahead of Friday's game due to soreness in his lower left leg, and he'll need at least one more day off Saturday before returning to action. Willi Castro will pick up another start at shortstop while Edouard Julien mans the keystone.

McCarthy (illness) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics.

Saturday will mark the fourth consecutive game that McCarthy has missed while recovering from an illness. The Rockies haven't yet suggested that he will have to spend time on the injured list, though that could become an option if he isn't able to return soon. Sterlin Thompson, Cole Carrigg and Troy Johnston will form Colorado's outfield trio Saturday.

Susac isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Susac will get a breather Saturday after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout during Friday's loss. Eric Haase will take over as the Giants' backstop and bat ninth.

Rojas was removed from Saturday's game against the White Sox with an apparent injury, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

Rojas appeared to be bothered by something during his plate appearance in the seventh inning and was lifted for a pinch runner after drawing a walk. It's unclear what exactly the veteran infielder is dealing with, but the Dodgers should provide more details in the near future.

The Rockies sent Bellozo outright to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

Bellozo was jettisoned off the Rockies' 40-man roster after posting an 8.83 ERA and 1.83 WHIP across 52 innings in the minors. No team was willing to pick him up off waivers, so the 26-year-old righty will remain in the organization as rotation depth at Albuquerque. Eiberson Castellano was selected to the MLB roster in a corresponding move.

The Rockies optioned Criswell to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

Criswell turned in scoreless frames in both of his appearances after being recalled from Triple-A on Tuesday, but he'll be sent back down so the Rockies can get a fresh bullpen arm in the form of Eiberson Castellano. Criswell hasn't performed nearly as well at Albuquerque this season (nine earned runs in 10.2 IP), but his performance with the Rockies could keep him in consideration for a return to Colorado later in the year.

The Rockies selected Castellano's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

Castellano has spent most of the season at Double-A Hartford, though he made his last appearance at Albuquerque and pitched six shutout innings while striking out seven batters and allowing three men to reach base. The 25-year-old will now get a chance to show what he can do in the majors while presumably working in a long-relief role. Jeff Criswell was optioned to Triple-A to make room for Castellano on the active roster, and Valente Bellozo was outrighted to Albuquerque to free up a 40-man spot.

Lodolo didn't factor into the decision in Friday's loss to the Diamondbacks, giving up two earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five batters over 5.1 innings.

Lodolo was working with a lead for the vast majority of his start, but hopes of capturing his first win of June were dashed in the sixth inning after he plunked Jordan Lawlar, who then swiped second base and came around to score on LuJames Groover's single. Having to settle for a no-decision doesn't change the fact that Lodolo has been showing improvement on the mound after running into early struggles this year, turning in a 3.91 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with a 19:5 K:BB across his last four starts, each of which has lasted at least five innings.

Sewald struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to pick up the save in Friday's win over Cincinnati.

Sewald needed eight pitches to strike out Dane Myers to lead off the inning, but it took just five more offerings for Sewald to collect the final two outs and lock down his 16th save of the season -- good for fourth in the National League. The 36-year-old righty has been much more effective recently than his 3.20 ERA might suggest, allowing just one run and striking out nine batters across his last 10 innings.
