Houser took a no-decision Thursday against the Brewers, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

Houser bookended his outing poorly, giving up one earned run in the first and fifth frames before his day ended, but a fifth-inning Willy Adames throwing error at least kept one earned run off the hurler's ledger. The 33-year-old right-hander hasn't been all that effective at missing bats in 2026, fanning fewer than six in all 12 of his starts, and he also remains without a scoreless appearance. Houser will take a rough 5.49 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 40:24 K:BB over 60.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance against an upstart Nationals lineup.

Crow (0-1) took the loss Thursday against the Giants, allowing six runs on nine hits and nine walks in 2.1 innings. He struck out two.

Crow labored Thursday in what was his shortest outing of the year, giving up a trio of runs in the first and third innings. The nine hits and six runs allowed were both season-worst marks as well. Crow has an uninspiring 5.94 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 10:5 K:BB across 16.2 frames, and the expectation is that Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) will take his place in Milwaukee's rotation once healthy.

Kelly isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Kelly has gone 0-for-11 across his last three contests, and Thursday will mark the fourth time in seven games that he's been kept on the sidelines. Moises Ballesteros will handle catching duties with Kelly on the bench, allowing Pedro Ramirez to work as Chicago's designated hitter.

Suzuki isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Suzuki will get a chance to regroup Thursday after going 8-for-34 (.235) with a homer, three RBI, four runs and 10 strikeouts across his last eight starts. His absence will allow Michael Conforto to start in right field and bat second.

Perdomo will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Thursday's game against the Dodgers.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo noted during Perdomo's day off Tuesday that he was thinking of moving the 26-year-old down in the batting order from his usual No. 3 spot. Perdomo batted leadoff Wednesday while Ketel Marte (back/hamstring) was banged up, but the shortstop will hit a season-low seventh in Thursday's series finale. It's the first time all season batting lower than third for Perdomo, who is slashing only .225/.331/.345 this year following his breakout 2025 campaign.

Marte (back/hamstring) will start at second base and bat leadoff in Thursday's game against the Dodgers.

Marte has been dealing with nagging back and hamstring issues and sat out Wednesday's contest as a result, but it will be just a one-day absence for the slugger. The switch hitter homered Monday in the first game of the series for his 10th long ball of the season.

Anderson was removed from Thursday's appearance versus the Giants in the seventh inning after being struck in the right forearm by a line drive, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Anderson had already thrown 30 pitches and allowed two runs over 1.1 innings before exiting, so his removal could have been precautionary. It's unclear whether the reliever will be sent for medical imaging, so he should be considered day-to-day until his status is updated.

Merrill went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Phillies.

Merrill made things interesting in the ninth inning with his two-run blast off lefty Jose Alvarado, cutting San Diego's deficit to 6-4. It's the sixth homer of the year for Merrill, who's gone 9-for-26 (.308) with a pair of long balls and a .956 OPS in his last seven games. After a slow start to the season, Merrill is now slashing .207/.280/.341 with 24 RBI, 27 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.

Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Padres.

Garcia extended the Phillies' lead to 2-0 in the fifth inning with a 429-foot blast off Lucas Giolito for his fifth homer this season and first since May 6. Garcia is now 3-for-10 with a pair of extra-base hits in his last three contests after going 0-for-17 in his previous six games. Overall, he's slashing .196/.275/.316 with 17 RBI, 18 runs scored and three stolen bases across 236 plate appearances this year.

Giolito held the Phillies scoreless through his first three innings Thursday before giving up a run on a two-out single in the fourth. Giolito would then allow a home run and a double to the first two batters he faced in the fifth, forcing the Padres to turn to their bullpen. The 31-year-old Giolito has yet to pitch into the sixth inning through four starts this season, though he still picked up a pair of wins while covering exactly five frames in his first two outings. Overall, his ERA sits at 4.86 with a 1.74 WHIP and 11:13 K:BB over 16.2 innings. Giolito is tentatively lined up to face the Reds at home in his next outing.
