Castellanos went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-3 win over the Athletics.

Castellanos went yard in the fifth inning to tie the game at 3-3. He has gone 6-for-28 (.214) over his last eight games, adding two homers and six RBI, though he's also racked up nine strikeouts without a walk in that span. The veteran outfielder is batting .198 with a .592 OPS, four homers, 19 RBI, eight runs scored, five doubles and a stolen base over 106 plate appearances. His playing time is trending up, but Castellanos could lose some playing time once Jake Cronenworth (concussion) returns, which would likely force Fernando Tatis back to the outfield. However, Cronenworth's return is not imminent.

Laureano went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a hit-by-pitch in Friday's 7-3 win over the Athletics.

Laureano had gone 14 games without a homer or an RBI entering Friday. In that span, he hit just .139 (5-for-36) with one extra-base hit, a double. The veteran outfielder's hot start to the season is a distant memory -- he has just two multi-hit games in his last 30. He's batting .217 with a .682 OPS, six homers, 20 RBI, 21 runs scored and five stolen bases over 47 contests this year.

Machado went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 7-3 win over the Athletics.

This was Machado's second homer over the last three games as his power starts to come back a bit. He's still scuffling, having hit safely in just six of his last 12 contests and going 6-for-45 (.133) with three homers, six RBI and 14 strikeouts in that span. On the season, the third baseman is batting .179 with a .618 OPS, eight homers, 24 RBI, 26 runs scored, one stolen base and five doubles over 48 games.

Buehler allowed three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Friday.

Buehler allowed two runs in the first inning and another in the fourth. He was able to avoid giving up a home run for the first time in four starts, but the Padres' offense didn't show up in time to give him a chance at the win. The four walks were a season high for the right-hander. He's at a 5.05 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 41:18 K:BB through 46.1 innings over 10 starts this season. Buehler's next outing is projected to be at home versus the Phillies.

The Mets are expected to recall Pintaro from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Pintaro already has one MLB appearance under his belt from last season, though it ended with him allowing two runs on two hits and two walks while logging one strikeout in two-thirds of an inning. He's had far more success to begin the year at Triple-A, posting a 2.81 ERA and 1.15 WHIP alongside a 32:12 K:BB through 25.2 innings. His notable improvement will now buy him another look in the big leagues, where he'll likely work as a multi-inning reliever.

Gurriel was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies with left hamstring tightness.

Gurriel was taken out of the game after making a sliding catch in left field. It's not immediately clear how serious his injury is, but the Diamondbacks may provide more details in the near future. Jorge Barrosa entered the game as Gurriel's replacement and would be the favorite to work as Arizona's left fielder in any future games the latter has to miss.

X-rays on Muncy's right wrist came back negative after Friday's game against the Brewers, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

Muncy was pulled from Friday's contest in the eighth inning after taking a pitch off his wrist. Although he avoided a fracture, manager Dave Roberts said the 35-year-old slugger is dealing with some swelling and will likely have to sit out the Dodgers' next few games. Santiago Espinal is likely to start at third base while Muncy is down, though Miguel Rojas could also be in the mix for playing time.

Chandler (1-6) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing three runs (one earned) on two hits and three walks with 11 strikeouts over five innings.

Chandler allowed three runs in a third inning that included the leadoff runner reaching via catcher's interference and an error. While it marked his fifth loss over his past six outings, the 23-year-old flashed his upside by generating a whopping 22 swinging strikes on 99 pitches and notching a career-high 11 punchouts. He owns a 4.79 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 47:34 K:BB across 47 innings and lines up for a home matchup against the Cubs next week.

Soto went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Marlins.

Despite batting third in the Mets' lineup, Soto saw just three plate appearances, as New York sent just 29 batters to the plate on a night when they generated just three hits, two of which came off Soto's bat. He took Eury Perez deep in the top of the first inning, and that was all the Mets were able to muster on the scoreboard. Soto has three multi-hit games over his last four appearances and has hit safely in eight of the last nine, raising his average 38 points during that span. He's slashing .301/.394/.571 with 10 homers, 21 RBI, 22 runs scored, five stolen bases and a 21:24 BB:K across 155 trips to the plate this season.

Tong didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Marlins, allowing one walk with two strikeouts across three hitless and scoreless innings out of the Mets' bullpen.

The 22-year-old was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse earlier Friday and worked the final three innings after Tobias Myers and Sean Manaea covered the first 15 outs. Tong flashed his plus stuff, including a 95.9 mph fastball, and generated five whiffs on 28 pitches. The right-hander could make starts for the Mets or be deployed as a multi-inning reliever.
