Atlanta placed Yastrzemski on the 10-day injured list Saturday with left elbow inflammation.

Yastrzemski had tallied a base hit in each of Atlanta's last five games, but the team will be without his services until at least July 21 while he recovers from the elbow issue. Eli White could be in line for more reps in right field while Yastrzemski is out, though Brewer Hicklen -- who was called up from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move -- could also be in the mix for playing time.

The Red Sox optioned Harris to Triple-A Worcester on Saturday.

Harris will lose his place on the active roster to make room for Eduardo Rivera, who is expected to start Saturday's game against the Mets. Harris went 0-for-2 with a hit-by-pitch during his lone appearance after getting called up to Boston on Thursday and has gone just 3-for-18 at Worcester since joining the organization June 30. He will likely spend most of what's left of the year in the minors.

The Red Sox recalled Rivera from Triple-A Worcester on Saturday.

After turning in a 3.08 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 38 innings in Triple-A, Rivera will be making his first career start in the majors Saturday, per Ian Browne of MLB.com. It's worth noting that Rivera threw just 29 pitches during his last Triple-A outing and will be working on three days' rest, so he isn't likely to pitch very deep into Saturday's contest. Brett Harris was sent down to Worcester in a corresponding move.

The Twins claimed Anderson off waivers from the Red Sox on Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A St. Paul.

Boston designated Anderson for assignment Monday, but he'll end up back on a new organization's 40-man roster after being picked up by Minnesota. The 26-year-old righty has given up three runs in eight major-league innings this season but owns a 4.81 ERA and 1.38 WHIP over 58 frames in the minors.

Carrigg isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.

Carrigg will get a chance to regroup Saturday after going 0-for-10 with six strikeouts across his last three games. Mickey Moniak, Jake McCarthy and Troy Johnston will form Colorado's outfield trio while Carrigg is on the bench.

Caballero isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Washington.

Caballero will catch a breather Saturday after tallying four hits in his last three games while collecting an RBI and a pair of steals. While Caballero rests, Anthony Volpe will pick up a start at shortstop and bat eighth.

Bichette isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox.

Bichette will step out of the lineup for a second consecutive game after not missing a game this season prior to Friday. Brett Baty will slide over to third base while Bichette sits, opening up second base for Zack Short.

Thornton is expected to be called up from Triple-A Syracuse to pitch in Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Thornton will likely start or serve as a bulk reliever in Sunday's first-half finale, but the Mets haven't revealed their plans for the 24-year-old just yet. The southpaw has previously made two starts in the majors this season, giving up five earned runs while striking out 10 batters and walking three across 10.1 innings. Although he hasn't yet been able to claim a regular spot in the New York rotation, that could change within the next couple of weeks, depending on what moves the Mets make ahead of the trade deadline.

Diaz (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Single-A Ontario on Saturday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Diaz began facing hitters in live batting practice last weekend and is now ready for the final step in his rehab from the elbow surgery he underwent in April. It's unclear exactly how many minor-league reps the Dodgers want the 32-year-old closer to get before he rejoins the team, but he seems to be on track to return to the big-league bullpen shortly after the All-Star break.

Kreidler isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.

After going 2-for-24 (.083) with nine strikeouts to begin the month of July, Kreidler will retreat to the bench for a third consecutive game while Tristan Gray starts at shortstop and bats eighth.
