Double-A Erie reinstated Sears (elbow) from its 7-day injured list Sunday and assigned him to High-A West Michigan.

While working his way back from a left elbow osteophyte fracture, Sears had resided on Erie's IL all season before being cleared to begin a rehab assignment in mid-May. Over five starts between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and West Michigan, Sears compiled a 2.63 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB in 13.2 innings. He'll get some more time to knock off rust and build up his pitch count in the Midwest League before likely joining the Erie rotation at some point later this summer.

Duran went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three total RBI and two total runs in a 5-2 win against Baltimore on Sunday.

With Freddy Fermin placed on the 7-day injured list early Sunday due to a concussion, Duran got the start behind the plate. He ended up being the star of San Diego's offense, producing both of the team's extra-base hits (an RBI double and a two-run homer) from the No. 9 spot in the batting order. Duran also went deep Saturday after entering for Fermin late in the contest, and he now has four extra-base hits (two doubles, two homers) and four RBI over his past nine plate appearances. Duran should serve as the Padres' primary catcher until Fermin or Luis Campusano (toe) returns to action. He's still batting a meager .176 on the campaign, but half of his six hits have left he park, and he went deep 15 times over 85 contests with Triple-A El Paso last season, so he could provide some temporary pop for fantasy managers in need of a backstop, particularly in two-catcher leagues.

The Mets are expected to place Scott on the 15-day injured list Monday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports. Scott is reportedly tending to a hip issue, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

Though it's unclear when Scott sustained the injury, the Mets believe that the 27-year-old righty is dealing with a minor concern. In any case, the loss of Scott further depletes the Mets' rotation depth and will require the team to add another pitcher to the mix Tuesday, when Scott had been scheduled to start against the Reds. If he isn't needed in relief of starter Tobias Myers in Monday's series opener, David Peterson could be a leading candidate to take Scott's spot in the rotation. The Mets could also look to call up Jack Wenninger or Zach Thornton from Triple-A Syracuse to fill a spot until Kodai Senga (arm) is cleared to return from the IL.

Witt went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two steals in Sunday's 4-0 victory over Houston.

Witt's activity on the bases continued Sunday, as he recorded his ninth steal of the month and third multi-steal effort of the campaign to boost his season total to 26 stolen bases. The star shortstop is currently riding a modest five-game hitting streak, during which he has gone 9-for-22 (.409) with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored. Overall, Witt is hitting .287/.358/.455 with nine homers, 19 doubles, a triple, 28 RBI and 36 runs scored across 72 games this year.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that Wells (head) will go out on a rehab assignment before being activated from the 10-day injured list, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Wells, who is recovering from cervical heaches, will be eligible to return from the IL ahead of the Yankees' next game Tuesday versus the White Sox, but the 26-year-old will get some time to shake off rust in the minors before he rejoins the big club. The skipper didn't go into any specifics regarding how long the rehab assignment might last, but if Wells is able to catch a full nine-inning game with a minor-league affiliate early in the week without incident, he might be activated prior to this weekend's home series versus the Reds.

Knipp (elbow) was assigned to Single-A Inland Empire on June 5 and made his debut for the affiliate a day later, striking out a batter and scattering one hit and two walks over a scoreless inning.

Knipp hasn't pitched for Inland Empire since making his debut, though it's unclear if his absence over the past week was the result of a setback or simply part of a workload-management plan coming off Tommy John surgery, which he underwent in early 2025. Before joining Inland Empire, Knipp made six appearances in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, where he turned in a 5.68 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 10:2 K:BB over 6.1 innings.

Raleigh (oblique) is expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game against the Orioles, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

Seattle is poised to get some major reinforcement to the lineup ahead of its six-game week, as infielder J.P. Crawford (hand) is also on track to return from the IL on Tuesday. Coming off last season's runner-up finish in the AL MVP race, Raleigh has been a major disappointment so far in 2026 with a lowly .560 OPS in 41 games before he landed on the IL on May 14 due to a right oblique strain. On an encouraging note, Raleigh looked to be dialed in at the dish during his five-game rehab assignment between High-A Everett and Triple-A Tacoma, reaching base in every contest while going a collective 7-for-17 with five home runs and a 2:3 BB:K. He should step back in immediately as Seattle's No. 1 catcher after the Mariners had been leaning on timeshare of Jhonny Pereda and Mitch Garver behind the plate over the past month.

The Twins selected Fedko's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

It's a well-earned promotion for Fedko, who has slashed .286/.372/.578 with 15 home runs, nine stolen bases and a 26:53 BB:K over 58 games with St. Paul. The 26-year-old can play all three outfield spots and also has some experience at first and second base. The right-handed-hitting Fedko will likely see most of his playing time for the Twins against lefties, at least initially.

An MRI on Strider's right elbow revealed no ligament damage, and he'll meet with Dr. Keith Meister later Monday before a timeline for his return from the 15-day injured list is established, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

The MRI result comes as welcome news, as Strider looks set to avoid another operation on his elbow after requiring Tommy John surgery while in college in 2019 and an internal brace surgery in April 2024. Dr. Meister -- who performed the latter procedure -- will review the MRI results before providing Strider with a road map for his next steps in his recovery from elbow inflammation. Atlanta is expected to have another update on the right-hander's status Tuesday, and a potential timetable for his return from the 15-day injured list could also be provided at that point.

Astros manager Joe Espada said Saturday that McCullers (shoulder) has resumed throwing off a mound, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

McCullers is being eased along slowly in his throwing program after landing on the shelf May 19 due to right shoulder inflammation. He still looks to be multiple weeks away from a return, as he'll need to complete multiple bullpen sessions and face live hitters before being cleared to head out on what will most likely be a multi-start minor-league rehab assignment. With both Hunter Brown (shoulder) and Cristian Javier (shoulder) poised to beat him back from the injured list, McCullers may not have a rotation spot waiting for him upon his activation. The 32-year-old righty struggled to a 6.86 ERA and 1.53 WHIP over 39.1 innings in his eight starts before hitting the IL.
