Gasser (2-3) picked up the win in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Cardinals, allowing two earned runs on four hits and one walk over 7.2 innings in Milwaukee's 10-2 victory. He struck out four.

A two-run home run by Nelson Velazquez in the sixth inning was the only blemish on Gasser's line, as the southpaw tossed 66 of 94 pitches for strikes while lasting more than seven frames for the first time in his big-league career. He was up as the 27th man for the twin bill, and with Logan Henderson (back) expected to come off the injured list to fill the vacant fifth spot in the rotation Thursday's series finale in St. Louis, Gasser is likely headed back to Triple-A Nashville. Over eight starts in the majors this season, Gasser has produced a 4.15 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 40:14 K:BB in 43.1 innings.

Yelich went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of the Cardinals.

The veteran slugger led off the twin bill with a ground-rule double before driving in runs with a single in the third inning and another two-bagger in the seventh. It was an encouraging effort from Yelich, but after he went 0-for-5 with another RBI in the nightcap, he's batting just .138 (4-for-29) to begin July with a homer, a steal, three runs and five RBI over seven games.

Uribe recorded his sixth save of the season in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of the Cardinals, walking one and striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Trevor Megill had worked the prior two days and three of the last four, leaving him unavailable for closing duties in the afternoon contest, but Uribe is a more-than-capable alternative. It was Uribe's first save since May 19, but he's produced nine straight scoreless appearances, a stretch in which he's posted a 0.50 WHIP and 6:2 K:BB in 10 innings. He'll continue to be the next man up in the ninth inning whenever Megill is unavailable. With Milwaukee's primary closer headed into his final year of arbitration in 2027, it wouldn't be a shock to see Megill on the move at the trade deadline the way Josh Hader was in 2022, which would open the door for Uribe to take on the role full time.

Misiorowski (10-4) picked up the win in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of the Cardinals, giving up three runs on three hits over seven inning. He struck out 11 without walking a batter.

All three hits off Misiorowski went for extra bases, including a first-inning homer by Jordan Walker and a third-inning blast by Ivan Herrera, but the flame-throwing righty got just enough run support to collect the win. The quality start was his 12th of the year, while the double-digit strikeout game was his eighth, fueling his MLB-leading 167 Ks in 111 innings -- 30 strikeouts ahead of second-place Dylan Cease and Cristopher Sanchez. Misiorowski is currently scheduled to work the Brewers' final game before the All-Star break, on the road Sunday in Pittsburgh, which would take him out of the running to get the start for the National League in the Midsummer Classic.

Twins manager Derek Shelton said Tuesday that Jeffers (hand) will remain on his rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul "for at least the next three or four days," Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

Jeffers has shown no signs of rust offensively in his first four rehab contests, going 6-for-13 with a pair of home runs. However, he has yet to catch back-to-back games, and the Twins want Jeffers to build up his workload behind the dish before returning to the active roster. With only five games remaining for the Twins before the All-Star break, it seems the club will wait until the start of the second half before activating its catcher. Jeffers has been out since late May following surgery for a fractured left hamate bone.

Baz (4-9) took the loss Tuesday, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks over six innings as the Orioles fell 5-2 to the Cubs. He struck out three.

The right-hander tossed 63 of 100 pitches for strikes in his second straight quality start and seventh of the season, but Baltimore's hitters were shut down by Matthew Boyd for six frames to leave Baz stuck with the loss. All seven of those quality starts have come since May 15, a stretch in which Baz has delivered a 3.30 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 52:23 K:BB over 62.2 innings but has just a 3-5 record to show for it. He's set to make one more start before the All-Star break, at home this Sunday against the Royals.

Boyd (4-1) picked up the win in Tuesday's 5-2 victory over the Orioles, allowing three hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

The veteran southpaw delivered his second quality start of the season on an impressive 93 pitches (64 strikes), but Ryan Rolison coughed up the combined shutout in the seventh inning. Boyd has looked good since returning from the injured list in late June, and over three trips to the mound he's posted a 1.72 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 13:6 K:BB in 15.2 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come Sunday in Cincinnati in the Cubs' final game before the All-Star break.

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Phillies.

Suarez accounted for Cincinnati's only offense Tuesday, taking Zack Wheeler deep in the seventh inning for his ninth home run of the season. Since his two-homer performance against the Mets on June 15, the veteran slugger has cooled off, batting .167 with a 39.7 percent strikeout rate. On the year, Suarez is slashing .207/.280/.374 with 10 doubles, 32 RBI and 21 runs scored across 246 plate appearances.

Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Reds.

Schwarber provided the biggest swing of the night in the third inning, taking Andrew Abbott deep for his MLB-leading 31st home run of the season. Through six July contests, Schwarber is 5-for-21 while drawing a walk in each game. Across 393 plate appearances this season, Schwarber is slashing .255/.370/.570 with nine doubles, one triple, 57 RBI, 56 runs scored and two stolen bases.

Ewing went 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, four runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 16-12 loss to the Royals.

Ewing launched a two-run homer off Seth Lugo in the second inning before adding an RBI single in the fourth. He swiped his ninth base of the season in the sixth. The four hits established a season high and were more than he had collected from his previous seven games combined (three). Ewing is now slashing .276/.359/.431 with six home runs, seven doubles, one triple, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored and nine stolen bases across 200 plate appearances.
