The Angels transferred Rodriguez's (back) rehab assignment to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Rodriguez made his first rehab appearance with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on June 28 and allowed one earned run over four innings. He threw 57 pitches in the outing, so he needs more time to ramp back up before rejoining the big-league Angels. Rodriguez will make his next rehab start with Salt Lake on Saturday and said he could have "pretty close to a normal workload" in the appearance, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register. That could put the hurler on track to make his following start in the majors, though a definitive timeline for his activation hasn't been announced.

Trout (hamstring) took batting practice on the field Saturday and said he could return from the 10-day injured list during the Angels' upcoming series with the Rangers, which begins Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Trout has been shelved since June 17 due to a right hamstring strain. He recently ramped up his on-field activities and said Saturday that he ran at about 90 percent speed with "no pain." All signs point to Trout being activated next week, perhaps as soon as Tuesday. Trout was also named an American League All-Star starter Saturday, and he'll presumably be able to appear in the Midsummer Classic as long as he doesn't experience any setbacks during the upcoming week.

Quantrill (3-1) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk over five innings as the Rangers were blanked 3-0 by the Tigers. He struck out two.

The right-hander didn't pitch poorly, tossing 42 of 66 pitches for strikes before exiting the mound, but Texas' hitters managed only three hits -- giving Quantrill no margin for error after Riley Greene swatted a two-run homer in the first inning. The workload was Quantrill's largest of the year, both in terms of innings and pitch count, and through three starts since moving into the rotation, he's produced a 2.45 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB over 11 innings. He lines up to get one more start before the All-Star break, at home next weekend against the Astros.

Fitzpatrick (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery over the past week, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Fitzpatrick was diagnosed with a left UCL strain in early June, necessitating this week's surgery. He'll now be sidelined for the remainder of the current campaign and much of 2027, though he could return in the second half of next season if his recovery and rehab goes well.

Montero walked one and didn't strike out a batter over three scoreless, no-hit relief innings Saturday to record his first career save in a 3-0 win over the Rangers.

While it wasn't a conventional save, the 25-year-old right-hander certainly saw high-leverage usage as he tossed 23 of 36 pitches for strikes to complete a combined shutout begun by Jack Flaherty, the pitcher whose return from the IL bumped Montero to the bullpen. Over his last four appearances (two starts), Montero has delivered an impressive 1.42 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB in 19 innings while collecting two wins in addition to Saturday's save. Given the Tigers' issues this year at the back of the bullpen -- Kenley Jansen has a 5.23 ERA and has blown four of 13 save chances, while Will Vest (elbow) and Kyle Finnegan have been charged with five blown saves each -- manager A.J. Hinch could continue to get creative with how he deploys Montero.

Henderson (back) will be activated from the IL to make his next start for the Brewers, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Henderson last pitched for Milwaukee on May 22 and subsequently landed on the IL due to a back strain. He's since made two minor-league rehab starts, tossing a combined 6.2 innings, during which he's allowed two runs while posting an 11:2 K:BB. Henderson is now slated to return to the Brewers' rotation, and his return start is likely to come next week during Milwaukee's series against St. Louis.

Flaherty (2-8) picked up the win in Saturday's 3-0 victory over the Rangers, scattering three hits over 5.2 scoreless innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

Texas didn't even get a runner into scoring position against Flaherty until a Josh Jung double in the sixth inning, which proved to be the last batter the right-hander would face. Flaherty held a 5.81 ERA at the end of May, but since then he's turned things around with a 1.90 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 28:7 K:BB in 23.2 innings over five starts, a stretch that was interrupted by a two-week stint on the IL due to an ankle injury. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Phillies.

Schuemann went 2-for-2 with two walks and a two-run home run in Saturday's 11-4 loss to the Twins.

Getting the start in center field while Trent Grisham got a partial day off as the DH in his second game back from the IL, Schuemann took Zebby Matthews (foot) deep in the fifth inning. The 29-year-old utility player has two homers on the season, with both of them coming in his last four games. Through 39 plate appearances in the majors this season. Schuemann is slashing .231/.423/.487 with two steals, six RBI and nine runs while seeing action at every position except catcher and first base.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Ohtani (bicep) is feeling "considerably better" and could be back in the lineup Sunday, and Roberts didn't rule Ohtani out of being available off the bench Saturday, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

Ohtani isn't in the lineup Saturday after reporting some discomfort in his right bicep Friday. However, there hasn't been any indication that the injury is serious, and Roberts' words Saturday further suggest that it's just a minor issue. Andy Pages is getting a turn at DH with Ohtani sidelined Saturday.

Clemens went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Saturday's 11-4 win over the Yankees.

The 30-year-old slugger homered for a third straight game when he took Brendan Beck deep for a two-run shot in the first inning, the first of six long balls by the Twins on the afternoon. Clemens is up to 16 home runs on the season, and five of them have come in his last eight contests -- a stretch in which he's batting .303 (10-for-33) with 10 runs and 12 RBI.
