The Athletics selected Serven's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

Shea Langeliers is currently working through a thumb injury, so the Athletics will bolster their depth at catcher by calling up Serven while Jonah Heim serves as the No. 2 option. Serven has spent the entire 2026 season in Triple-A, where he's slashing .295/.392/.505 with seven home runs and 40 RBI in 227 plate appearances. He last saw major-league action in 2024 with the Blue Jays, with whom he appeared in 28 regular-season games while posting a .465 OPS over 71 plate appearances.

The Athletics reinstated Gelof (hand) from the 10-day injured list Saturday.

Gelof had a minimum stint on the IL while recovering from a right hand contusion and did not need to embark on a rehab assignment before returning to the majors. With Brian Serven also being called up, the Athletics optioned both Darell Hernaiz and Joey Meneses to Triple-A Las Vegas in corresponding moves. Prior to his injury, Gelof posted an .834 OPS with eight steals, 11 home runs and 29 RBI in 228 plate appearances.

Teel is not in the White Sox's starting lineup against the Guardians on Saturday.

With southpaw Parker Messick on the mound for the Guardians, the lefty-hitting Teel will be on the bench while Drew Romo starts behind home plate and bats ninth. Since being activated off the 60-day injured list June 22, Teel has gone 7-for-34 (.206) with one home run, eight RBI and a 38.5 percent strikeout rate.

San Francisco recalled Bivens from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Bivens is taking the bullpen spot of Matt Gage, who landed on the 15-day injured list due to a left elbow strain Saturday. It will be the first stint with the big-league club this season for Bivens. The righty reliever appeared in 54 regular-season games for the Giants in 2025, posting a 4.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 61:25 over 81 innings while logging four wins, three saves and four holds. He'll likely fill a low-leverage spot while up with San Francisco.

Antonacci is not in the White Sox's starting lineup against the Guardians on Saturday.

Antonacci has faced his fair share of southpaws this season, but he will be on the bench to open Saturday's contest while Junior Perez starts in left field and bats fifth against Guardians left-hander Parker Messick. Since June 1, Antonacci has a .316 batting average with three steals, four home runs, 11 RBI and a 10:16 BB:K across 114 plate appearances.

The Giants placed Gage on the 15-day IL on Saturday due to a left elbow strain, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Gage previously spent time on the IL in early June due to a knee issue, and he's now set to be sidelined with an elbow injury. The lefty reliever threw a season-high 51 pitches over 1.1 innings against Colorado on Friday, so that's presumably when the injury occurred. Spencer Bivens has been called up from Triple-A Sacramento to take Gage's spot in San Francisco's bullpen.

The Royals recalled Cuas from Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

The move comes after Stephen Kolek (personal) was placed on the family medical emergency list. Cuas' lone appearance with the Royals was Wednesday against the Rays, when he allowed one run on two hits while striking out three across two innings without issuing a walk. He's spent the majority of the 2026 season in Triple-A, where he has a 3.31 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 33:19 K:BB across 32.2 innings.

The Royals placed Kolek (personal) on the Family Medical Emergency List on Saturday.

Kolek's next start is tentatively slated for next week on the road against the Mets, though it's unclear whether he'll be with the team at that time. He took the loss in his last start against the Rays on Thursday, when he allowed three runs on four hits and one walk across two innings without recording a strikeout. Prior to that outing, Kolek spent some time on the paternity list and then the family medical emergency list before rejoining the team Thursday. The Royals recalled right-hander Jose Cuas from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move.

The Nationals optioned Kent to Triple-A Rochester on Saturday.

The righty reliever has been mediocre during two stints in the majors with Washington since being claimed off waivers from the Minnesota on May 3, posting a 6.75 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB across 10.2 innings over eight appearances. The Nationals claimed lefty reliever Matt Krook off waivers from the Athletics on Saturday and will have him fill Kent's spot in the bullpen.

The Nationals designated Granillo for assignment Saturday.

Granillo has failed to impress over eight appearances with Washington this season, posting a 9.64 ERA, 2.25 WHIP and 3:8 K:BB over 9.1 innings. He hasn't fared much better with Triple-A Rochester, registering an 8.02 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 32:16 K:BB across 33.2 frames spanning 26 appearances. Granillo will consequently yield his 40-man roster spot to Matt Krook, whom the Nationals claimed off waivers on Saturday.
