Helsley (elbow) pitched one inning with two strikeouts and no hits allowed for Triple-A Norfolk in his second rehab appearance Saturday.

Helsley turned in a 1-2-3 inning on just 14 pitches. Baltimore has missed the right-hander's presence in the back end of the bullpen since he was placed on the injured list May 1. Before being deactivated, Helsley posted a 2.53 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB with seven saves in 10.2 innings. He should settle back in as Baltimore's closer once he returns from the shelf.

Fortes is not in the lineup for Saturday's matchup against the Angels, reports Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

After picking up five hits and scoring five runs in his past two starts, including going 4-for-4 on Wednesday against Boston, Fortes will get a rest Saturday in Anaheim. Hunter Feduccia will start at catcher in place of Fortes and bat eighth in the lineup.

The Rangers announced that Helman has multiple fractures in his right hand after leaving Saturday's game against the Red Sox, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Helman will miss some time for Texas after being hit by a pitch, which caused multiple fractures in his right hand. After being called up on May 18, the 30-year-old has only recorded 31 plate appearances, slashing .179/.233/.321, though he was likely ticketed for increased playing time after Evan Carter (oblique) landed on the IL earlier Saturday.

Kelly is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against San Francisco.

Kelly will ride the bench for the third time in the past five games. The 31-year-old has slugged .277/.355/.367 with three homers in 186 plate appearances this season. Miguel Amaya will take over catching duties and bat eighth Saturday.

Cleveland announced Saturday that Ramirez has a left hamate bone fracture, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Ramirez was taken out of Saturday's ball game against Detroit in the sixth inning with what is now determined to be a left hamate bone fracture. The 33-year-old was slashing .238/.339/.415 in 310 plate appearances this campaign, well below his career averages of .278/.352/.500. The Guardians have yet to determine who will replace Ramirez on the active roster, but look for David Fry and Daniel Schneemann to get more playing time at third base in his absence.

Tovar (lower leg) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics.

Tovar was a late scratch from the lineup ahead of Friday's game due to soreness in his lower left leg, and he'll need at least one more day off Saturday before returning to action. Willi Castro will pick up another start at shortstop while Edouard Julien mans the keystone.

Soderstrom is not starting versus Colorado on Saturday.

The lefty-hitting Soderstrom is getting a breather with the Rockies sending southpaw Kyle Freeland to the mound. It's the fourth time in five games that the A's are going up against a lefty starter, but Soderstrom started each of those first three contests, so he's not in a platoon situation. However, Colby Thomas is spelling Soderstrom in left field Saturday.

McCarthy (illness) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics.

Saturday will mark the fourth consecutive game that McCarthy has missed while recovering from an illness. The Rockies haven't yet suggested that he will have to spend time on the injured list, though that could become an option if he isn't able to return soon. Sterlin Thompson, Cole Carrigg and Troy Johnston will form Colorado's outfield trio Saturday.

Helman was removed from Saturday's game against the Red Sox after being hit on the hand by a pitch in the eighth inning, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Helman started the contest in center field after Evan Carter landed on the injured list due to an oblique injury. Helman went 0-for-2 with a sacrifice fly in his first three plate appearances before being struck by a pitch on the right hand in the top of the eighth inning. Brandon Nimmo, who served as a pinch hitter following Helman's HBP, then remained in the game to play defense in the bottom of the frame while Helman departed. It's unclear at this point if the 30-year-old is dealing with a serious issue or if his exit was precautionary, but more information on his status should be coming soon.

Tampa Bay optioned Englert to Triple-A Durham on Saturday.

In his most recent stint with the Rays, Englert pitched in two games, allowing just one run on four hits with a 6:2 K:BB over nine innings. He threw 65 pitches while covering four frames Friday against the Angels, so he was likely going to be unavailable for a few days, and Tampa Bay decided to send him down to make room for Craig Kimbrel (wrist) to return from the injured list. Englert could be back with Tampa Bay the next time the team needs a reliever capable of covering multiple innings.
