Romo isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta.

Romo will move to the bench for a second consecutive game after going 0-for-9 with a walk and two strikeouts across his last three contests. Edgar Quero will fill in as Chicago's catcher and bat seventh.

Basallo (wrist) will start at catcher and bat fifth in Thursday's tilt versus the Mariners.

Basallo has been out of the lineup for the past three games as he deals with a bony growth in his left wrist, but he had a few plate appearances off the bench during that stretch and is now ready to return to the Orioles' lineup. The 21-year-old has collected a .801 OPS with nine home runs across 199 plate appearances for Baltimore this season.

Rutschman (hamstring) will start at designated hitter and bat third in Thursday's game versus the Mariners.

Rutschman has missed each of the last three games with left hamstring tightness, but he feels well enough to at least hit in Thursday's contest. The switch hitter has been better against righties (.876 OPS) than lefties (.760 OPS) this season and will take on Seattle righty Bryan Woo in the series finale.

Burleson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Mets.

With his 424-foot blast off Christian Scott in the first inning, Burleson extended his home-run streak to three games and his hit streak to 11. In those 11 contests, Burleson has gone 16-for-45 (.356) with a 1.119 OPS. He's boosted his slash line to .290/.356/.486 across 284 plate appearances this year with 11 homers, 48 RBI and 35 runs scored.

The White Sox activated Pereira (pectoral) from the 10-day injured list Thursday.

Pereira has been shelved since late April with a right pectoral strain but has been cleared to return after going 5-for-14 with a pair of home runs in four rehab games with Triple-A Charlotte. The right-handed-swinging Pereira should play a decent amount in the Chicago outfield, especially versus left-handed pitching.

Scott did not factor into the decision in the Mets' 5-4 win over the Cardinals on Wednesday, giving up four runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

Scott struggled to keep the ball in the park Wednesday -- he surrendered four runs on three homers in the first two innings. Coming into the day, Scott had given up just one home run this season and none in his previous starts (29.2 innings) leading up to Wednesday, so the long ball isn't a major concern despite New York's power display. The right-hander now sports a 3.10 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP and 47:19 K:BB across 40.2 innings this season. Scott is tentatively lined up to face the Reds on the road in his next outing.

Williams earned the save in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Cardinals, striking out a pair in a perfect ninth inning.

Williams made quick work of St. Louis on Wednesday to close out the Mets' one-run victory, earning his ninth save this season. After a shaky start to the year, Williams has now converted his last seven save chances while holding opponents scoreless in 14 of his last 16 appearances. Overall, Williams sports a 5.32 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP and 35:14 K:BB across 22 innings this season.

Matthews (2-4) took the loss Thursday against the Tigers, allowing seven runs on nine hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out four.

It's the second time in three starts that Matthews has given up seven earned runs. The 26-year-old right-hander was hurt by the long ball Wednesday -- he gave up a season-high three homers in an eventual 11-0 loss to Detroit. After firing seven scoreless frames in his season debut in mid-May, Matthews' ERA now sits at 5.20 with a 1.18 WHIP and 30:9 K:BB through his first six starts (36.1 innings) this year. He'll look to bounce back in his next outing, tentatively scheduled to come on the road against the Rangers.

The Phillies traded Campbell and Jose Colmenares to the White Sox on Thursday in exchange for Derek Hill and international bonus money, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Campbell has spent the entire season at Double-A Reading, slashing .216/.281/.412 with seven homers, 31 RBI, 27 runs and nine steals through 55 games. He'll presumably remain at Double-A to begin his tenure with the White Sox and would likely need to turn things around at the plate in order to push for a promotion to Triple-A Charlotte.

The Phillies acquired Hill and international bonus pool money from the White Sox on Thursday in exchange for Dylan Campbell and Jose Colmenares, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Hill is effectively replacing Johan Rojas, who needs season-ending internal brace surgery on his right elbow. The right-handed-hitting Hill has a career .521 OPS versus right-handed pitching but boasts a .780 OPS against lefties. He will be used as a late-inning defensive replacement and should see occasional starts in center field against southpaws.
