Kim went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Friday's win over the Giants.

Making his second straight start at shortstop while batting ninth in the order, Kim saw his hitless streak extend to 25 plate appearances -- his last base knock was a single back on June 3. His struggles, both at the plate and in the field, since returning from finger surgery in mid-May have cost him his starting job at shortstop and allowed Jorge Mateo to get consistent playing time, but Atlanta hasn't completely given up on Kim. If he doesn't turn things around soon, however, the team could have a tough decision to make about his future once Ronald Acuna (hamstring) returns from the IL in July and frees Mauricio Dubon up for regular shortstop duty again. Over 76 PAs in 2026, Kim is slashing a woeful .072/.158/.072 with a career-worst 26.3 percent strikeout rate.

Dingler isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.

Dingler will get a day off after going 2-for-7 with a homer and two RBI through the first two games of the series. Jake Rogers will fill in for him behind the plate and bat ninth.

Cheng went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and an RBI in Friday's 6-1 win over the Yankees.

Cheng was recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Friday after the Red Sox placed Marcelo Mayer (forearm) on the injured list. The former celebrated his Red Sox debut with an RBI groundout in the second inning and a 407-foot double to center field in the fourth. With both Mayer and Trevor Story (abdomen) on the injured list, Cheng is line for more work in the short term, including Saturday as a member of Boston's starting lineup. He slashed .254/.351/.424 with seven home runs in 240 plate appearances with Worcester.

Gasper isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Gasper appears to have moved down a spot on the depth chart, as he will move to the bench for the fourth time in Boston's last five games while Carlos Narvaez starts behind the plate for the third time in the team's last four.

Latz walked one batter in a scoreless ninth inning to secure the save in Friday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays.

Latz walked Brandon Valenzuela to lead off the ninth but was able to regain his composure and force the next three batters he faced to fly out, ending the Blue Jays' comeback effort. Latz now owns a sparkling 1.85 ERA and 0.67 WHIP through 39 innings on the year and has converted 16 of his 18 save chances.

Moran (elbow) will make at least one more rehab appearance before being activated, MLB.com reports.

Moran kicked off a rehab assignment Thursday, when he allowed one hit and struck out two over a scoreless inning (17 pitches) for Triple-A Worcester. Relievers on rehab assignments usually don't need much more than one or two appearances, so Moran could return early next week.

Kiner-Falefa underwent a CT scan on his left forearm Thursday which revealed a stress reaction, MLB.com reports.

Kiner-Falefa, who was placed on the 10-day injured list June 20, had to wait for swelling to abate before undergoing the CT scan. The report indicates an expected return to be after the All-Star break.

Ward went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Friday's 3-1 win over the Nationals.

Hitting leadoff against left-hander Andrew Alvarez, Ward set the table effectively with three singles. The veteran outfielder has found a groove in June, banging out multiple hits in four of the last five games and producing a .295/.380/.421 slash line over 23 games this month with three homers, five RBI and 17 runs.

Corbin (2-4) took the loss against the Rangers on Friday after giving up five earned runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five batters across 4.1 innings.

Corbin didn't do himself any favors by allowing the first three batters he faced to reach base, all of whom would eventually come around to score before the veteran lefty recorded his second out. He then gave up a two-run homer to Justin Foscue in the third frame that would prove to be the deciding factor in the game. Corbin has now failed to complete the fifth inning in each of his last four starts and has given up at least five earned runs twice in that span.

Helsley struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his eighth save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Nationals.

The right-hander dispatched the visitors on 12 pitches (nine strikes) to pick up his first save since coming off the IL in mid-June. Helsley got tagged for five runs in 1.2 innings in his first two appearances after recovering from elbow inflammation, but he seems to be shaking off the rust, topping out at 100.4 mph with his fastball Friday in his second straight scoreless outing. On the season, Helsley has converted eight of nine save chances while posting a 4.40 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB in 14.1 innings.
